LOVE/HATE. Roomy but cut handles off & purchasing pocket organizers
The things that I liked about this bag… I LOVED about this bag.The things that I disliked about this bag… I HATED about this bag.I’ve had this bag, now, for a couple of months. In that time, I’ve toted it around w/ me on a daily basis. It’s had a chance to travel w/ me on a couple of plane trips and a weekend road trip I made to visit a friend.I purchased this bag to replace a backpack that I had for 10 yrs. I’d been looking for a replacement for past couple of yrs since the backpack finally started to tear at the bottom. I’m very picky when it comes to bags and I just hadn’t found anything that I really liked. I saw this, liked the configuration, size, the way it looks, so I went for it.The GoodIt has room, and lots of it. I can fit my large laptop (15”x10.5”x1.5” w/ ~18” diagonal), a pouch organizer, a couple of jeans, large cologne, 4 polo shirts, 4 pairs of socks, 4 sets of boxers, mid-sized toiletry kit, a hard sun-glass case, and a few other small misc items. I made a trip up to visit a friend over a weekend and this bag did a good job serving as my only piece of luggage. The bag is just the right size for is to be used as overnight through 3-day trip. Any smaller and it would have been useless for this.It is easy to carry. It is well balanced when on the shoulder, allowing you to walk normally and not have to lean to the opposite side. The padded strap lets the bag hang on your shoulder without discomfort. It is just the right size for it to be used empty and completely full. Any larger and it would be cumbersome to carry.Perfect carry-on (planes). When I travel, I carry w/ me my toiletry kit, a set of clothes to sleep in (shorts, t-shirt), thing thong sandals, and an extra set of clothes (1 boxers, pair of socks, clean polo shirts, etc). So my carry-on has to accommodate at least these items, my large laptop, and a few other small misc items. This bag has more than enough room for all of this. My old backpack was huge. It looked big. This bag actually has more volume, so it’s bigger by almost 4 cubic inches (outside measurements). There were many times when airline personnel would look at the backpack as if, “there’s no way that’s getting on the plane b/c it’s not going to fit under the seat in front and there is no room for it on top.” That never happened and I would squeeze the bag under the seat, sometimes partially, but it was definitely a possibility that I would have to check it at the gate. W/ this bag though, it’s like a big purse. No one even considers it a problem. And it really isn’t. It actually fits under the seat in front very nicely. It’s durable. The material is rugged. The zippers work well. I have no doubt that this will last me a long time. The BadYes it has room. But it’s akin to a bucket. Take a used shipping box, slit a couple of holes on either end and weave a shoulder strap through them. The large compartment, I get. Let open so you can put clothes, books, etc. The large pocket for the laptop, I get. Cool. But everything else is has no organization. The pockets in the front, for example. I’ve had to purchase separate organizers (pics 1 & 2) for pencils and things I use daily b/c this bag doesn’t even have a small, mesh bag or smaller zippered compartment for things like a cell phone charger or a mouse (this is a laptop bag, how does it not have a protective pocket for a mouse?).The bag has 3 hard clips for securing items. All 3 hard clips suck. They are useless.* One is in the front of the bag, over a large pocket. This is the one you MAY consider to have a purpose but then you realize that the pocket has velcro anyway. The velcro on this bag is awesome. It has kung-fu grip. There’s no way that pocket is ever opening up by accident.* The second loops over the top. This is a laptop bag. I need access to my laptop. If I strap something on top, I cannot get to the inside w/out maneuvering the strapped items out of the way. When not in use (always), the straps get in the way. You either join them and they get in the way of the zipper opening, or you let them hang and they get in the way of pretty much everything else. I cannot see a use for this. The large compartment is easy enough to access from the top and can hold anything that you expect to go outside on top.* The 3rd is inside of the clam shell, secondary compartment. The ends are backwards. Look at the 3rd picture provided for this product. When there is something in the pocket, the clip bulges out. The female part of the clip should be on the strap and the male part on the short end.Sadly, I’ve had to cut all of these off.Another thing that I had to cut off were the handles (pic 3). Like the clip on top, these handles get in the way. It would be nice to have the handles for easier handling when getting in/out of a car, walking down plane isle, etc. But for 99.99% the time, they just get in the way. A PERFECT solution: add small compartments for tucking the handles away. In fact, if you want to keep the top clip, provide a hiding place for these also when not in use.The side pocket for “drinks” are extremely small. The only water bottles that I could fit in there were very small (2” diameter). Sincerely useless. Suggestion: Keep the MOLLE, get rid of one of the pockets and place clip for the strap on the OUTSIDE of the remaining pocket. That way the top flap can tuck away into the remaining pocket. (pic 4)The large velcro pocket on the back (rides near the body when carrying it) that I can’t figure out what to put into it… meh.Bottom line, the bag is nice. The room is nice. Just, be ready to mod it up to your liking. I had to cut the handles off and am in process of spending more on pocket organizers than the actual bag itself.

Great Bag, long longevity
I bought this bag back in June 2019, and the shoulder strap finally gave out. I would beat this bag up a lot and tossed it around, and today it finally gave out. I’ve been super happy with this bag. Thank you for the last 4 years lol AWESOME ROOMY GREAT BAG 👍🏻

Excellent for everyday use but things to be aware of...
First off, I am not being compensated in any way for this review.I purchased the bag for primary purpose of carrying my 17" Dell laptop that I haul to and from work every day. For the most part it has held up to the rigors of every day use thus far with the exception of the shoulder strap which I explained later in the review. Other than the laptop it also has room for notepads, some pens and a few personal items. I purchased this bag to replace a regular laptop backpack to which I had some Vanquest pouches attached to that held tools such as screw drivers and small nut drivers for work on equipment as well as other EDC items. Those pouches easily attached to this bag and in my opinion don't look to shabby. Albeit, the end pockets had to be sewn shut to prevent the pockets from sagging. Just a simple trade off for using the molle webbing at each end in my opinion. My laptop fits snugly/securely and is well padded to protect it. There are some zippered and velcroed compartments for paperwork or other items like cables/chargers as well.My only issue is the shoulder strap. One of the swivel clips that attach the strap to the bag popped off when lifting the laptop off the floor by the shoulder strap on my way to work one day. I ended up having to carry it using the handles sewn into the sides of the bag. Not the end of the world by any means. I found a MUCH better designed strap (cost about $10 here on Amazon) and have been VERY happy since. For the construction quality of the bag, the seams and overall stitching look good and are holding up well. I have had about 18 pounds of gear stuffed into it for various reasons and it has held up without any issues.Overall, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a decent bag but you may have to spend a little extra for a more reliable shoulder strap if you plan on carrying some weight.
