Inspired
When I started reading this book I had no idea it will be having so much depth in it. It is definitely about women and their life but I feel it has shown some of the toxic parts of human nature in a very creative way. The author has described human emotions properly in the whole story because, at the end of the day, it is all about love or some emotions. The characters like Dolly, Mrs Gupta and Jasmona made this story understandable and exciting. All these women are different from each other and have different roles to play in each and everyday life but still, they come up with the solution in chaotic situations. The book involves some kind of medical conditions in brief so if you are reading then you should know what will you get. I will recommend this book to every other girl and hopefully, it will help them to get inspired at some point.

THE POWER OF POSITIVITY๐๐๐๐๐
I read an article on HBR a few days ago that stated that menopause commonly occurs between the ages of 45 and 55 โ which is also the age bracket during which women are most likely to transition into a different stage of life. Because menopause lasts between seven and fourteen years, millions of postmenopausal women suffer from mild to severe symptoms such as depression, anxiety, sleep deprivation, and cognitive impairment, to name a few.The book constructively demonstrates a plausible story by introducing two characters named Rajat and Dolly, who are distinct in nature as wife and husband. Rajat is an arrogant and egoistic maniac on the verge of devouring his life, but he manages to persuade his underlying nature through a series of actions. Dolly, on the other hand, is a person of sublime nature, a delicate individual dealing with the effects of menopause. The plot twists when Dolly is admitted to the hospital due to unforeseen circumstances, while Rajat remains adamant about his nature. The story, as seen through the author's eyes, makes compelling arguments about the biological problems that women face, which, if not treated on time, can lead to dangerous situations. There's a beautiful saying in the book which dictates that;โ๏ธ'๐ผ ๐ฌ๐ค๐ข๐๐ฃ ๐ข๐ช๐จ๐ฃ'๐ฉ ๐๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ก๐ฅ๐ก๐๐จ๐จ๐ก๐ฎ.

A good story on an important social topic
We are aware of the health afflictions women face because of menstruation but a deadlier consequence can be expected from Menopause when a woman hit her 40s and the uterus undergoes changes. The issue is very few people are aware of what is menopause and what can be the consequences. We have women folks in our house, but we are not fully aware of the changes and pain they undergo. The author has highlighted an issue of paramount concern through his fictional storyline of Me No Pause, Me Play. Dolly is a housewife in her 50s who has spent the larger part of her life taking care of the needs of her husband, Rajat, and raising their kids. As and when Rajat started climbing the ladder of success, he started taking Dolly for granted and felt entitled to her cater to all his whims even if she is sick. The author has poignantly highlighted this issue which is prevalent in majority of the households in India. Even in household which does not treat women as a 2nd class citizen, the awareness regarding the health complications faced by women due to hormonal imbalance is next to nil.I liked the way the author developed a storyline to raise consciousness on this issue which has more impact than a non-fiction book documenting this issue. The writing style is precise, simple, and easily understandable which can be consumed by readers from all strata of the society. The author has done a good job in realistically portraying the dynamics between couples, especially of the previous generation and the millennials where the roles were rigid, and expectations were set as to the responsibilities of the males and females of the house.I also liked the subtle way the author tried to play with the word โMenopauseโ for his title. The author wants to send a message to all women that Menopause should not be an encouragement to pause their life and aspirations. It is the right time to continue to spread your wings and keep soaring.Overall, I would like to give 4 stars mostly because of the salient effort made by the author to raise awareness about an open secret that people like to brush under the carpet.

Emotional fiction
People often ask authors why most books are written to inspire women and why women have to need a man. So for all those orthodox questions, this book is a proper and perfectly balanced answer. The book story shows why we need to encourage women more and how strong they are mentally as well as physically. Life can take a U-turn but at those moments some people just can not keep their calm and patience and that is shown here by the character Rajat. His character is portrayed so well, that I practically ended up hating him and getting pity on him. The book shows the importance of having a family. This book is short and must be read by book lovers and I would love to see people sharing different opinions about the storyline of this book. An Exciting, Emotional and fictional read.

This is not a feminist story
I was expecting a feminist story but the casual treatment of marital rape put me off. Marital rape is rape. It's a crime. And no criminal can change their behavior.

Interesting book
A moral boosting women centric slogan for a women created by a women herself โME + NO + PAUSE, ME+ PLAY which is a self help quotation and means, I will not stop in any adverse situations in life. This slogan not only changed a womenโs life, brought her back from the death bed but also has an important message for the women struggling with menopause. The most admirable factor was that this story provided an information to the life partner too who needs to acknowledge the changes his wife is going through at this time. Family help and support is very crucial for every women who undergoes a harmonal change in her mid life. Not only the beginning of the story was dramatic by the end was equally pacifying. I really enjoyed the entire episode. There was a friendship and relationship struggle which were portrayed very tactfully. A noteworthy work by the author who has intelligently achieved his motive of presenting his work of thought to his audience.
