This product worked great for about 3 months. I am able to tell alexa to turn on/off any one or more of the 6 lights in my front house (2 of theses switches installed), as well as on my app. The switch is also supposed to function as a normal touch switch. but after about 3 months of use, the touch panel on the switch stopped working. I could no long have the option of manual operation and only able to switch the lights via echo/app. This became problematic when my WiFi went down and the device could not connect and therefore I could not turn on the lights. Don't skimp on the no name brand. spend more to get another better product.

Basically useless unless you're handy enough to modify this.Let me start out by saying: Everyone that complained about the clips for the bracket that secures the faceplate is absolutely correct. I was hoping they were flukes from a couple people that weren't experienced doing any of this work. They were not flukes. The clips are too shallow, flimsy, and short to properly grasp and maintain contact with the secured bracket.The only way I figured out how to fix it was to remove the circuit board on the contact portion (the part with the contact springs and the LEDs that you would clip into the part you mount with screws onto the new work/old work electrical box. Please be careful doing this because on the top right there are contact points that plug into the mounted portion and you don't want to bend the pins ) and use countersink bits to drill holes for screws (that I had to go out and purchase with flat heads) into the plastic that lined up with the bracket. Once I did that I lined everything up and screwed it in as one piece. I then put a piece of electrical tape on the screw heads to avoid causing any shorts. (I don't believe that the part of the PVC the screw heads were contacting would conduct any current, but better safe than sorry). I remounted the contact circuit board and then put the contact plate back on top.And there is still a 1/8th-ish gap between the wall and the contact pad regardless so it looks like garbage next to a regular switch and switch plate.Functionally it does appear to work as advertised, but there is a blue LED that is always on (I guess to let you know it's on/there) that you can't seem to disable through any options. Most likely I'll have to either break the circuit, desolder the LED, or just get lazy and cover it because it's pointless to want a dark room and have a bright blue LED just glowing.I cannot in good conscious recommend this product to ANYONE unless you want to put in a ton of extra effort using your own tools/materials to get it mounted.

I wish I had taken the one star reviews of this item seriously. I thought maybe some of those reviewers didn't know what they were doing. Nearly every complaint is valid. Screws don't fit past the housing plate once a wire is inserted. The clips from the main unit into the housing plate don't work at all because they don't line up in a way that would force them to clip. Terrible design. Worst of all (for me) is that I bought this along with a bunch of other stuff for projects and didn't get around to it until after 30 days, so I can no longer return it.Other reviewers have suggested some modifications that I think will work, but the required tools cost an additional $12.

Loved this switch at first but every couple months it will not operate manually. We have found by throwing the breaker off and then back on, it will return to both WiFi and manual operation but this is very inconvenient, especially if we are away; someone looking after our home would have to do the breaker and then reset a lot of our kitchen clocks!

This switch is a very poor design. As stated by others, the clips that hold the switch to the frame are too small. Even if they fit properly, the whole switch sits too far from the wall. Looks terrible. The only up side is that it is compatible with Alexa. I’m sorry I bought it and wasted so much time trying to install it.

after a few months the touch compatibility will stop working. You will only be able to control it through Alexa

Great Product ! I'm really liking all the products from BOSCHENG. I've bought a few sets and ready to order more ! they are very easy to setup, the pairing process with the App is really simple and intuitive and the best part (at least to me) works with Alexa !Keep up the great work !
