Doesn't bleed like some "proffesional" brands do and has awesome staying power.
I bought Fuchsia Pink hoping to replace Pulp Riot Countess because this is $10 cheaper. The color match isn't exact. Lunar Tides is A LOT brighter and a bit more pink, but that's solved by adding a bit of blue and some black. I honestly love this dye. It doesn't bleed like my hair did when using Pulp Riot. I'd have a stained towel after every shower, but not with Lunar Tides. It also has amazing lasting power. I wash my hair everyday and it's been over a week since dyeing my hair and it's still very vibrant. I only washed my hair with cool water for the first few days and went back to hot/warm water too. Will definitely keep purchasing this brand

As good as special effects
Loved cyan! It’s not the exact color, but it also depends on how light your hair is. The fade out is pretty and lasts awhile. Best thing since special effects hair color! Unfortunately amethyst was not as great. It was so light I couldn’t tell if my hair was saturated. It came out pretty but is fading so fast.*in picture the cyan is super old but I just did the amethyst on both sides right above cyan and it’s totally gone on one side*

Bleeds Yet Lasts
Bled every time I showered for over a month, but the color remains vibrant as it fades. I do not shampoo very often, though. I like to let my colors fade & this one lasted from mid October to mid March. It faded to a nice pastel mint, which will depend on how blonde and even your hair is underneath the dye. Aside from having green shower water, this was a nice dye. I have used LimeCrime, Manic Panic, Special Effects, and Arctic Fox on top of smaller brands. This was my first time using Lunar Tides & I was not disappointed. Highly pigmented.

Leave it in for 2 hours
I may change my rating later. I LOVE the color. However it should be noted that I had to leave it in my hair for 2 hours before rinsing in order to actually get it to work (and cold water, whereas previous dyes worked and lasted even with warm water). We will see how long it lasts after the 2 hour attempt. I will try to update. If it lasts a while, I will probably update to 5 stars.

Blue velvet
I never leave reviews but I absolutely like this color brand and the blue velvet was sold out last time I looked so I found it again today, it is such a vibrant blue and when I shower it looks like there’s a lot of color that’s coming out but I have extensions in that are the same blue but they came like that and my not fresh anymore hair and the extensions still match after 2 months! I also put a tiny bit in with my conditioner and that REALLLLLYYYYY helps keep the tone! And the blue doesn’t bleed and stain as harsh as older do cause I’m messy af and I wasn’t tinted blue! 10/5 definitely recommend!!!

Oh this is going to be controversial, sorry IA
Alright so, I am a quick shopper even online, I’ll check reviews and pictures and maybe check out a YouTube video to see a better view of the color. I however didn’t notice it was vegan, I tend to avoid vegan products because simply I have not found any that meet my expectations for what I need or expect. I understand if it’s a lifestyle/ethical choice, more power to you, live your truth: but me personally, this brand now added to the list along with arctic fox are thumbs down for me. Arctic fox bleeds non stop everywhere, seems to permanently dye anything but your hair, and washes out in about 3 washes. Now with this productPros:-it did not stain my skin, that was cool-it’s pretty thick so I did not make any kind of mess apply it, again cool-if you want like a fun little change for about a week, this is perfect because it washes out quick.-it didn’t bleed onto my clothes or bedding, or skin when washing my hairBut that’s where the pros endCons:- I couldn’t grip the seal so I used a safety pin to help me get an end up, some of the product came out on the safety pin and I saw even though it was thick, for hair color it’s fairly translucent. Red flag if you are experienced in regularly dying your hair 😩 if you want a lighter version or very temporary color it would be ideal, but for vibrance and hang time NOPE.-just when I rinsed it out, COLD WATER, and used no shampoo I could tell it was going to wash out quick, and I was right, it lasted about 3 washes total, pretty much gone after the 2nd wash honestly. My hair is not over processed or anything that would contribute to loss of color at that rate. I even use baby shampoo since it’s no harsh chemicals and honestly has helped preserve my colors better than any “color saving” products on the market.Another thing I didn’t favor was it didn’t stick to my freshly bleached roots. Again experienced hair artists know that usually will be the brightest spot, as well as bleaching helping seal color in if you do it correctly in a time period. So PRETTY MUCH if you want something temporary, or you’re wanting to test drive a color but not ready to commit; this is perfect. However if you’re looking for something that is long lasting, this is not it. May be a basic bih but I’ve been doing this for 17 years and have tried dozens of dye products and ion color brilliance I personally don’t feel can be beat. Extremely vibrant color, very minimal bleeding/transfer after coloring and even that just depends on the color, you may not get any bleeding or transfer at all. It also lasts a long time, as well as fades evenly so you won’t have splotchy hair as it fades, you’ll just go through lighter shades ofItself.

Where’s the smoke?
I was so excited to use this product after a friend had recommended it. As a true 90s babe, I started with Punky color, back then it was the most pigmented dye to use besides koolaid. I had been dying my hair for about 15ish years. Then took a huge hiatus. Fast forward.. I bleached to a blonde, used a toner for reference as my starting color. The results color chart showed it would still be smokey, it wasn’t. It ended up being a magenta color. The color was really vibrant but not the same shade at all. Consistency was more of a gloss than creamy. I used half the jar for 2 small sections. Bummed it feels like a waste of money since the color wasn’t Smokey orMauve ish at all. I ended up using a clarifying shampoo to get most of the color out, then a mix of 3 artic fox colors to get a closer match. I really wanted this color to work! With all the new companies & advancements made since the 90s, I was really hoping this color would take. Insert sad face here. Wish I would have taken a pic before changing the color.

Dark hair blues
My hair is dark brown. I bleached my hair and left the dye in for about 45 min, hair looks green in the light and teal in the dark.
