I had my doubts about this light,because it was so inexpensive,but it’s way more light than I expected.I have $140.00 streamlight,and this is rechargeable and comes w/tripod,for the lantern side,or the back is a wide led light,push the switch again and you get a “red strobe” instead of trying road flares ,this light could save you if you had a flat tire at night.my new favorite light!!!

These lanterns do make awesome camping and night hiking lanterns, but they make an even more awesome work light. I often find myself working in tight, unlit places, like crawl spaces under houses and other structures. More often than not, they have no lights installed in them or they are very badly lit. As a rule, I end up dragging long extension cords behind me to power up work lights. I tried many battery powered lights, but none of them quite did the job that I needed them to. At least none did until I received this lantern free to evaluate and review.This small lantern is powerful, generating 1500 Lumens and projecting that beam of brilliant white light a full 500 Meters, that’s over 1500 feet. You have a choice of three light sources, a spotlight, a floodlight, and a side lantern. The spotlight mode gives you three power levels to choose from-high, medium, and low. The floodlight mode gives you two levels to select from-high and low. Likewise, in side lantern mode, you have two levels-high and low. This lantern also has two red light modes, one of which sends an S.O.S. signal in Morse code.What I like about this lantern is that it comes with its own detachable tripod mount, which allows me to position the light where I need it and leaves both of my hands free to complete the work at hand. This lantern is worth a great deal more than the $22.99 that it sells for.

When I ordered this multifunction camping flashlight/lantern, I was prepared to receive just a ho-hum device. Instead, I was quite pleasantly surprised.This light is well thought out and has tons of great features.While it is made of plastic, it is lightweight, and not at all heavy, plus it has nice rubber bumpers on each end. It feels durable, and I expect it should hold up well in a typical camping environment.It has quite a list features:- rechargeable lithium batteries: and set of LED's that indicate the state of charge. Nice.- a sturdy, foldable handle - nice for packing, transport, etc.- three bright LED lights - quite bright just as advertised. - one is a bright white light on one end with both a bright and a battery saving setting (still plenty bright) - another is a large side area light - also quite bright with an opaque cover to provide a lantern style of lighting. And also a battery saver setting. This side light is on the opposite side of the handle. This makes it easy to carry in a more vertical manner and serves as a great multipurpose light. You could use it for walking around, for example, as well as, a bright area light. - the third light is on the other end - similar to light on the other end, but this one has less of a beam, and instead sports a wide angle style. The button on this end cycles to bright, battery saver, red, and flashing red. The flashing red could be used for such things as car trouble and to alert on coming traffic. - it comes with a charging cable, and a nice, metal tripod which folds up into a compact form. This tripod is strong, with adjustable legs, and has a standard, camera style of connector. - it also can function has a power brick for USB devices as it has a USB output connector.We plan to keep this light handy to be used in case of any power outages. We also will take it with us when we travel in our general aviation airplane.As you can see, lots of features. Not much was omitted in this design. I think it is an excellent value.Recommended.

This lamp is extremely bright. It's not a heavy lamp. The handle can sit flush with the lamp but to attach the lamp to anything else you'd need a large s-clip/carabiner and you’d have to attach that to the handle. Then the handle will not sit flush with the lamp at all. The multiple light functions work well, high/low floodlight, spotlight, emergency light (SOS flashes in morse code) and red light. The charging ports to charge the lamp and use the lamp as a charging bank are covered. There are no cables included other than the lamps own charging cable. The only drawback I can see is that once the battery is drained you cannot charge it without more gear/electricity. It does come with a small tripod for hand free use, this screws into the bottom of them lamp. This works just fine but, again for the most versatile hands-free use I’d recommend a hole/clip added to the body of the lamp to increase its portability/hands-free uses.
