I've had my beard for 8 years, in styles from Wolf Blitzer to Moses. Never used any type of dressings on it. Decided to let it get a bit longer and see what happens, just that I don't want to look like ZZ Topp either. So for five bucks or so....give it a shot. Beard balm. What did I expect? I had no idea. Well it works. My beard stays put and errant hairs don't go flying off my face like sweater pulls. It has a rather hard consistency in the tin and a little goes a long way. Nice soft fragrance, and not at all greasy, like I was afraid of. You don't really know it's there.Anyway, I like it. It makes my beard look a bit better and I think Grow a Beard and I will have a long relationship...as long as I keep this beard. Give it a try, I think you may like it.Edit..few weeks later......I was in Wally world and looked at the beard balm offerings. I even opened them up to examine them. Well, the consistency of the balms varied, from a crea.m to an ointment, to a harder ointment. Grow a Beard has a waxy consistency, so if you rub your fingers over the product a bit comes off and you rub it onto your beard. Enough comes off to make your beard malleable and formable and keep the hairs in place. It also has a nice, light fragrance. The creams look more difficult to work with and will be used up quickly. Grow a Beard will last quite a while. I am quite taken with the product and have recommended it to all my hairy friends.

The particular item/batch I received was very solid in the container, although the body heat and pressure of a finger turned it into a thin oil coating on the fingers. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out that it was only hard on the surface, and once you break through this "barrier" (whether by force or intelligently with a blow dryer) it is actually quite soft and manageable as a beard balm.Has a pleasant, natural odor which is not too strong, and after I applied it post-shower to a damp beard and left it in overnight, my beard was noticeably more soft the next morning and still smelling pleasant.Based on the typo on the label, I am not sure if "Beew" is meant to be a generous amount of beeswax in the formula, which would lead me to the conclusion that this is supposed to be a holding wax...or if "beew" is some sort of proprietary formula...Hope this helps for now.

The balm is sticky at first which is very odd. But once you rub it into your fingers and apply to the beard, it does a great job of holding the hair in place. Scent is average. Minus one star for average scent and stickiness.

Update 11/5/19 - this thing is awesome! Smells good, spreads well and moisturizers the skin. And it smells good 😂Recent beard enthusiast (is that a thing?) here. Been using the leading brand for balm and wax. Just tried this brand. What I like about this - even though it is a little solid, once rubbed in the fingers, it immediately becomes oily making it easier to spread in the beard. Has a very pleasant sandalwood smell, which I am huge fan of. Makes beard manageable immediately after application. Will definitely buy again once I run out.

This is the first product that I have used like this so I may have had the wrong expectation in my head. This has made my beard feel softer and has helped a bit with keeping it more tamed through the day. I was thinking that it would have more holding power to keep my beard “in place”. Over all I like it still but I don’t care for the scent that it has.

My husband uses this beard balm and enjoys the smell. He does seem to have a softer beard, but has mentioned that the balm does not have as much 'hold' s other balms he has used. However, while this is not a deal breaker, he does wish it would his beard for a better length of time. FYI - his bear is about 4 inches long at the time of this post.

This is a nice smelling beard balm that makes my beard feel soft and manageable. The price is great! Its a little thicker than some other balms I have used but it melts in the palm of my hand nice and goes on like it should. I don't find it sticky like some other reviewers have and this is my second tin I have used. I will purchase this brand again.

Of course, no beard balm can take care of 100% of every single stray hair on your beard, but this one does a great job. The beard oil + balm combination has improved my beard like I never had before.For best results, apply beard oil, beard balm and then brush your beard. I guarantee you it will make a huge difference. This is coming from a guy who had no beard routine for years until now.Love the balm!
