Fundamentals: Student CD for Miladys Standard Esthetics
Concise and to the point. Each segment or Video Vignette has the written narrative for each video segment....with a content description of the video too so you chose how to manage and organize your time...while still having access to the narrative. The videos are also to the point and role model and illustrate what you are to learn. Very comprehensive but perhaps not challenging enough for most students and perhaps not enough content...and doesn't seem to provide teacher or student suggestions in a list...like what to practice after each video vignette. It does appear to be a scalfolded professional education program...so you minus well buy all the levels in one sitting if you know you are going to enjoy aesthetics and have a basic sciences background. There are quizes for each segment which you can also choose to do and practice for your state license. There are also separate books for licensing review. You are well taken care of.

The classic standard for esthetics.
This is the classic go to book for esthetics and the one that is most widely used for a study guide when you are getting your esthetician's license.Much of what is written is very simple and some information about the treatments/machines seems outdated, yet this is what is covered in most esthetician study programs. I am not aware of any med spa/dermatologist offices who use a Wood's lamp, or has the client hold an electrode when using a galvanic machine. It seems machines and procedures are much more sophisticated these days. This book is the basics that an esthetician needs to learn about and know to pass most state boards and get your esthetician's license.

Good study guide
I can credit this workbook with helping me pass my exams! I found it very helpful to test myself when studying, and with this book, I knew I wasn't missing anything. The only critisism I could make about this book would be that if you're filling in the answers with an open book, there are times with everything is on order and it's too simple (you are not forced to research the answers). Other than that, I can say I am completely satisfied with this book, and would recommend it to students in esthetics.

good but too much politically correct
This is a good book but the attempt to be politically correct ( something very common nowadays ) backfires a little. It was to be expected that when the authors selected models for the photos showingfacial procedures that they selected people with lighter skin so that readers could easily see the differences between the stages of the procedures. As it is, they selected models with dark skin, so one picture is just like all the others. The basic step-by-step facial in chapter 14 illustrates this clearly. They might as well have taken just one photo and repeated it throughout the procedure; the result would have been the same.

Really good price for a school textbook. The pages were highlighted and the book had some writing, which is ok. The book was in excellent condition and like new.

Great purchase!
The workbook is great! There are a few water stains. The worst one is right at the front of the book at the bottom but it’s not very big. It only goes through about 20 pages or so. A couple of pages are written it but it can always be erased! Very happy with this purchase!
