Compact and comfortable to hold. Charges up very quickly, and comes with 2 guards. Kept the larger guard on to use on my boxer. I was surprised at how quiet it was and how quick I got through all four paws! Definitely less traumatizing than nail clippers. Great price for this product.

Was excited for this tool since my dogs hate having their nails clipped and on occasion I clip too much and their nail will bleed. Never a pleasant experience for either of us.Pros:- easy to hold- easy to chargeCons:- Needs constant charging. After minutes of use the red charging light turns on- not super powerful. I was expecting something like a dremil tool but no, this will bog down and stop working if you put slight amounts of pressure- takes forever - if your dog has long nails this will take years to grind them down and neither my dog nor I have that patience.Tips:- get a mask - nothing like breathing in powdered pup claw dust to ruin your day.- Use this as a "finishing" tool - it's not powerful enough to grind down your dogs nails but it's great for cleaning them up after you clip them- If you don't use something like this with your dogs often it's going to take months of training and use before they are use to it so get on when they are a puppy and file them down weekly with this tool.

I have always had large dogs, mostly labs. Although they are very easy dogs, like any dogs, they do not like to have their feet handled. They are very strong, and when they fidget and resist, it is hard to do the job of nail trimming safely, and easy with conventional clipping tools to cut to much, and perhaps hurt the dog. With this handy tool, it is much easier to do the job. It is quiet and only requires moving the rotating head over the nail back ad forth. Once one learns how to do it, it is very easy to get the job done without having to frighten or fighting with your dog. So now I do this job more often, and as a result it is quicker each time. After only a few times my dog hardly even reacts at all. All in all this is a pretty good tool for home dog care.

So, I got this for my dog but he is terrified of everything apparently. And even though this isn't excessively noisy, he will not go near it. So, I tried it on my big toenails which fell off due to running and then grew back oddly shaped. Anyhow, it worked great at reshaping my toenail. You do have to use a little finesse since obviously human toenails are shaped differently than dog's, but other than that I'm pretty pleased. You have to have a soft touch and be patient though, because if you push too hard the bit will stop spinning. Also, there are two speeds; push the power button twice for a higher speed. So I can't really rate it for dog toenails, but for human toenails- five stars.

I didn't have to fight with my 5 dogs this time to trim their nails. They just laid down and let me trim their nails. I've tried other grinders in the past but the noise scared my dogs.

Love the shape of it, easy to hold. Noise level was low enough that it didn't bother my animals too much. Worked great for my cat's nails but not so quick to grind down my XL 70lb Labrador's nails.

The media could not be loaded.  My dog goes to the groomer every other month and when he comes home his nails are clipped but very rough for a couple days. I got this to grind down those rough edges. The sound isn't silent or anything, but I think it's reasonable quiet for what it is and the job it's intended for. My dog is a pretty anxious guy in general and doesn't like going to the groomer (even though they are really sweet with him), so I expected him to not like this too. He didn't disappoint. His resistance is polite but he's not a fan. If you have an anxious dog too, I think you can expect a similar reaction. But it does a nice job and there are two different guards that come with it. It came already charged, so that was a nice surprise. It has two grinding gears and I included a video so you could hear the sound levels. It's a nice tool that will come in handy when needed!
