Just push the button and the device turns the weed wacker gas engine at a proper speed and fires it up without fail..This product is a "life saver," especially for old people. From experience, a new grass trimmer usually starts after one to three pulls with the starter cord. Through time, it requires more and more. For example, my five-year-old commercial Hitachi refuses to fire up after ten minutes of pulling the starter cord. My arm aches and I am completely exhausted with sweat running down my forehead. When any weed wacker refuses to start, it needs to be trashed..For the user, he has three JUMPSTART options. First, the cheaper $12.56 drill bit attaches to an electrical hand drill. The user can never get the drill to consistently operate at the proper speed. Too slow will achieve nothing. Too fast can break the bit or ruin the grass trimmer's gears. Second, the $46.48 cordless model is overpriced. So, this third option with the cord is more reasonable at $34.97. I bought a new "open box" model for $27.

We were skeptical to order a used one, but it arrived never opened stilled factory sealed. In fact, we had one heck of time just getting the product out. Very pleased we don't have to struggle to get that cold blooded beast started again. Worth every cent!

Works like a charm and have no issues starter my trimmer. Save my shoulder form keep on pulling the rope every time I need to trim my grass edge.

Bought this to replace starter I had before. Starts up right away after prime and right setting. It savesme pull starting engine which use to take several pulls not fun on hot days. Strongly recommend this item.

Bought this corded JumpStart machine to help me with my TroyBilt equipment that is “JumpStart”. Recently I’d refurbished/fixed up a TroyBilt TB22EC Trimmer that my lazy ass, good for nothing so-called father in law had but was too stupid to fix. In addition, bought a new carburetor and gas tank from here (see other separate review). Overall, this little setup did what it was suppose to do. My only qualm about this device is that it gets warm too fast if use repeatedly; hopefully it won’t crap out since I fixed my now free trimmer.

I used this once and what I disliked about the unit was that there really were no instructions on how to use it in order to start y trimmer. I had to guess at teh best way to start my trimmer. Also the cord is not long enough to use comfortable since the plug I use in the back ayr is about 5 feet off the ground. That tends to make the unit awkward when attempting to start the trimmer. I suggest that you spend a little extra money and purchase the portable unit with no cord.

I tore my shoulder's rotator cuff during the winter and wondered how I was going to start my Troy-Bilt edger this Spring. Enter the Troy-Bilt Jumpstart! It is perfect for me. I love it!

I am a Senior and always looking to make life easier and this is one of them.
