Pleasant Hearth OFW419F0R 28" Round Solid Steel Fire Ring

DIY plans list the metal thickness of this one as the best size for a fire ring. After putting it into use, I would agree. Heavy duty and worth it.

The media could not be loaded. Fit really well together in assembly and was easy. Modified with some holes to mitigate smoke and worked really well. Decorated around with some stones.Weight isn’t too bad once put together and alignment was pretty straight forward.Get your hot dogs and marshmallow ready! 🔥

Great product made out of solid steel. The coating could be better but it was expected with the extremely low price. It comes in four pieces packaged good at best. Although the box was a bit beaten up, no major damage other than scratches on the top surface (pictures included). I’m a perfectionist with OCD but I knew at the price range to expect a few scratches in the finish so I’m not disappointed. I’m sure you can contact the company to replace but not worth the hassle with the cheaper coating. Assembly is nice and easy. I’d tighten up correctly, it will be perfectly round. It measures just a tad bigger than 28” in the inside diameter and roughly 28.5” if you include the inside diameter with the lip on the lower edge. It is exactly 33.5” on the largest diameter of the lip. The coating is alright and a few missing spots in the inner edge (picture included). Like I said, at the price, I’m not disappointed. Also, these coatings don’t last against fire. Eventually rust will come into play. The only reason I don’t really care is because it’s cheaper for me to powder coat this fire pit ring than buy the other more expensive rings that come with the same cheap coating. I paid $100/wheel for powder coating at a high quality paint, powder coat, and chrome shop. They told me they wouldn’t charge more than that for a fire pit ring. Any shop that tells you otherwise is a rip off. You will love this if you are building your own fire pit. I did it with wall blocks and knocked off the lip with a chisel.

Well made, good vendor support

I'm not entirely sure that this was necessary for our firepit, but it does look nice and has held up so far. I bought 36 tumbled stones from a home goods store which made 3 layers with about a 33'' diameter hole in the middle. These were laid ontop of paver base with a layer of river rocks underneath for drainage. I glued everything together with landscaping adhesive and it feels very secure. I suppose the fire ring keeps the stones on the outside from getting damaged. I have no doubts it will last for many years.

Just what we were looking for !!

This is a good, solid fire pit ring insert, and this comes from a reviewer with high standards and expectations.A socket wrench with fitting and a Phillips head screwdriver makes the 12- (3 per 4 sections) bolt assembly simple. I gave mine a good brush-coat of 1,200-degree heat resistant black paint too. Placing it on a level surface and pounding the four joints on top with a rubber mallot leveled it up.

This insert was the perfect size for setting up my smokeless fire pit. If I was to build another ever again ill be buying this insert, I highly recommend this insert ring to friends and family. The assembly was very easy, it solid steel and powder coated to out perform paint any day.

Went through so many fire pit ring options, both online and offline but this one was the best and value for money. Used it a couple of times and I don't see any stains or holes in the ring yet. Very easy to install and can be installed in just 15 minutes.

OK, but screws for conneciting parts not delivered

The Fire Ring (for our fire pit) arrived extremely quickly. It is of a high quality steel, very strong and solid. We are very happy with our purchase and would recommend to anyone wanting to make a cozy fire pit in your own backyard.

Searched all over the UK for something as simple, heavy duty and functional and couldn't see anything online or locally (apart from a local blacksmith offering to make me a fancier one for £500). I decided the P&P and import fees were worth the price and couldn't be happier. If I was in America paying around $100 all-in I'd be very happy with this. Just like the ones that have in all the State/National Parks minus the adjustable grill.
