After just a few months the plastic end that fits under the door knob broke completely off
I liked that it was easy to use but very cheaply made that the plastic end that fits under the door knob broke of just by accidentally dropping it while removing from the door

probably isn't the best option
it definitely makes you feel safer but i did have a friend try to push on it and it moved a considerable amount - not sure how useful it would be against someone who REALLY wants to get through the door

Hard to get it to hold
I bought this for extra security after having my door kicked in and some stuff taken before they woke the dog up and he chased them away . The only problem I have with it is that I have to keep a hammer handy to drive it in tight enough to actually brace the door . Otherwise it just slips on the floor and does nothing .Needs a better grip system for the foot that braces the bar to the floor

A good door jamb and a self dense tool ,if needed.
Bought 2 of these to jam it up against my front entry door and place it on the rails of my back sliding door to keep them from opening.They are sturdy. Once placed ,there is no way anyone is pushing through the door and coming in. And best of all , you can swing it to cause some damage to protect yourself.
