Delta1‑1/2 HP Motor Dust Collector, Black

Glad I made the purchase
I absolutely love this dust collector. The airflow is incredible. My previous method of collecting dust was a Shop-vac connected to 2" pvc pipes mounted under a work table with blast doors to close off airflow to one roll at a time. This Delta 1.5 Hp gave me the ability to build a dust collection system using 4" pvc with some 4" to 2.5" reduces that allows me to keep every power tool in my garage connected at the same time without any blast doors. What impressed me the most is the fact it corrects all dust and wood chips from my planer with a 10' flex hose. I was able to build a cabinet after finishing the setup with no cleanup. As you can tell in the photo, I have a lot of tools connected. One of my concerns when debating over this purchase was whether or not I could plug it into a standard 110 and operate a power tool without popping the breaker. I did have to move some of my power cords around and figured out that this item needs an outlet all to itself, if pop the fuse on my power strip when I tried plugging it into the same strip with my table saw. When I ran an extension cord to give it its own dedicated Outlet it works just fine without blowing the breaker while operating the other power tools. I've only owned it for a week but have flipped the switch many so far and it powers up well every time. For being inside my garage, it is not as loud as I feared. At 3' distance my decibel meter read 90, at 10' 85.

Great Product - Customer Care Needs Improvement
Amazon Return Process: 5 Stars - Julius at Amazon Returns was Excellent in assisting me in defining options to arrange return of the dust collector.Delta Dust Collector Quality: Except for the manufacturing defect, I would rate the product 5 stars.Delta Machinery Customer Care: 1 StarAs a result of difficult and unpleasant interactions with the Delta Machinery Customer Care staff, the 50-767 T2 Dust Collector was returned to Amazon and I will pursue a dust collector from a manufacturer other than Delta Machinery. This is unfortunate because, after carefully researching for the best dust collector for my needs, the 50-767 T2 Dust Collector had all the features I was seeking. Upon receiving the unit as I began to assembly, I found the unit to be a well-made quality unit except for the manufacturing defect/quality control issue with the Rear Stand Cross Support. Assembly was stopped when the issue was identified and Delta Machinery Customer Care staff contacted for a replacement part.I found it very difficult to convince Delta Machinery Customer Care staff that the issue was not shipping damage issue but a manufacturing defect. The Delta Machinery Customer Care staff insisted I return the unit to Amazon. Only after I informed a member of the Delta Machinery Customer Care that the Dust Collector had been registered for the five year warranty was I put on hold for, I assume, a consultation. When the Customer Car individual returned, I was told to send an Email with copies of the documents listed below. Amazon receipt Pictures of the defective part Copy of the product registrationThe Email was sent on 8/30/17 with a read receipt. The Email was read by someone at Delta Machinery on the following morning (8/31/17). There was no response to the Email and I called again on 9/5/17 to determine the status. When I again explained the situation, I was told I needed to send an Email with the information listed below. When I informed the Customer Care member I had already sent that information, the individual requested my Email address and put me on hold. When the individual returned, the individual told me, “I’ll take care of it.” I appreciate the commitment which was followed through but, it would have been nice to know when, how and an Email with a tracking number. Therefore, while I find the interactions with the Delta Machinery Customer Care staff disappointing, I sent another Email indicating I would return the replacement Rear Stand Cross Support if they Email me their return authorization and return address. To date, NO response from Delta Machinery.

You should definitely pick this one
I bought mine a few years ago and it's still is the best choice I made for my shop. I currently have six tools hooked up to it. I installed the Powerswitch Tail 2 and small switches to each of the blast gates. This way the DC turns on when I open the gate for each tool. With this one having a one micron bag, a decent price, and a pretty high CFM, this was the best choice I could find my far.

Great for a small shop.
I’ve had this collector for nearly a year. I have it connected to three different tools, including a drum sander, jointer and planer. Power is adequate for my smallish shop. Changing collection bags can be messy, but it isn’t too difficult. My shop is in my basement so keeping dust out of my furnace is a priority. This thing works pretty well, even when production is high.

Happy with product
Great quality. Very heavy duty. Had a difficult time trying to pull the white mesh bag around the metal frame but didn’t realize it goes on the inside of the rim not outside. Kinda messed up the metal frame. Wish it had better instructions. Would give 5 stars if it had better instructions

Recent purchase
So far so good. I have been using the machine for a few months with no problems. It seems well made with the only plastic being the y connector. The conversion to 220 volts is easy to do. It doesn’t seem to be too difficult to move around although I have only used it for my stationary table saw.
