Virtually the same as the $20 Garmin version
This looks exactly like the Garmin version of this which costs nearly 2x as much. The plastic body is definitely identical (though the clamp bolt screws in from the front vs. the rear) and the bolts that hold the clamp and 1/4 turn fitting in place are silver vs. black on the Garmin (not sure that makes any difference). The only noticeable difference is that detent in the 1/4 turn fitting doesn't 1uite grab/hold the Garmin taillight as tightly or definitively. I doubt the difference is enough to allow this one to let the taillight go flying but do keep that in mind.

Do not risk loosing your Varia
The screws that hold the Garmin mount worked loose and caused the mount to fall out.Should’ve come with locktite to prevent this.I loved the concept and the item when it worked, until it didn’tUse at your own risk!

Double check your seat post. Tricky to put on a TREK EMONDA
Check your bike -didn't even occur to me to look / measure my Trek Emonda seatpost. Silly me. It will fit on the lower part of the seat post, but does not fit on the upper part. I'm hoping it will fit with my saddle bag and still have visibility to oncoming cars. My installation is currently stalled as I dropped the little screw and can not find it. More looking on my part and I will update this when I get it installed.I like that the interior of the screw hole is reinforced with metal - not just plastic threads.Appears to be a good way to mount your radar. I have the Varia RVR315.UPDATE - found the screw. This mount does fit on the lower part of the seat post on the Trek Emonda, but it is too low. I checked it for my mountain bike and the fit it good. I sometimes ride the road to get to some trails, so this will work great for that need.

Too Small?
I have a Trek Emondo and it uses a reverse seat post. This will not fit. It is too small by just a little. Seems well made and perhaps I can use it on another bike, but I'm disappointed I won't be using it on my main road bike.

Easy and sturdy - what more can you want from a light mount?
Simple, sturdy, static mount for my Varia. Comes with different rubber inserts to accommodate different seat post sizes. Varia mounts securely, and the mount is held on securely by 2 screws. Nothing amazing or unique about it - it just does it’s job well, and at a reasonable price.

does the job
I had my Garmin Varia fall off with the cheap bung or cord included with the unit…luckily I noticed fast and picked it back up! This product secures the radar and seems well made—something like this should be included with the Varia. Recommend it.

Arrived Misassembled
I bought this as a spare mount for bike rentals. Finally tried to install today. Originally I thought the mount was missing the small nut for the tightening bolt. In fact when manufactured/shipped, they had screwed the bolt into the wrong side of the mount (same side as the nut) and so tightly that the nut just turns in place with the bolt and there's no way to remove it. Would return but outside the window.Updated: I purchased a new one and returned the old one. The new one is correctly assembled. It seems to work fine. The plastic is a bit softer than the original Garmin mount, so it may wear faster if you remove and replace your Varia a lot.

Nice alternative to Garmin's (out of stock) mount
Does what it's supposed to at a fraction of the cost - and they're actually in-stock. Snug on seat post with included adapters. Seems to hold light securely. Great option if you have a second bike and swap light between them.
