Plantronics Savi W440 Wireless DECT Headset System for Laptop & Softphone (Renewed)

So I received the item and it **appeared** to be in excellent condition. The device was nicely packaged and there is direct contact info for the seller in the package, oh and a small bag of skittles (my favorite). But that's where my praise for this device stops.Unfortunately; I thought (by reading the q&a's) that this would come with an extra battery; it did not. Possibly just a misunderstanding on my part, but I will now need to order a spare battery before i can expect to use this headset for my entire 12hr-shift.It is USB as expected and when I initially plugged it in and it worked right away(plug & Play). Unfortunately (again), it came with a near-dead battery, so it only worked for a short period of time. In addition to that, the charging base seems to not fit the headset that it came with. I had to put a rubber band around the charging base in order to make the contacts touch so that the device could charge.Once fully charged, i attempted to use it, but unfortunately (again) the USB gave a "Device Error or damage" message. There is no longer an indicator light on the USB transmitter, as it had the first time, it no longer connects the headset to the computer, and the device got really warm when left plugged in to the computer for just 10mins.Obviously I have not been able to assess the noise cancellation, sound quality, or battery life, because the device and every aspect of it have made that impossible.I will be contacting the seller directly today to see if we can rectify this situation and i will update my review to reflect that outcome.

This item arrived as described with an extra battery and all accessories neatly packaged. I plugged into the computer and I am able to use it without any problems so far. For reference, I work using Cisco IP communicator. I would recommend plugging in and setting up through the Cisco soft phone audio tuning wizard, it will show the headset as a single option, once finished test it by calling someone.

Arrived as described (refurbished) from Headset Guys. All accessories, chargers, wireless USB fob, everything but the original box was included - the manual was even reprinted and placed in the box.Upon arrival, the rechargeable battery was about 50% charge which is generally recommended for storage of lithium batteries.All items appeared to be brand new (e.g: Open box) which I was pleasantly surprised to find since this was supposed to be refurbished.I've been using this product for about a week and it has been performing flawlessly.

When I spend $150 for a headset, I expect the headset to work longer than 8 months. Initially, the headset worked well. As of a couple of days ago, I can hear people great, but they either cannot hear me or my voice cuts in and out. So they are now pretty useless. Also, the range has never been very good with this headset. I can always hear others when I step away from the computer, but my voice would start to break up when I got more than 15 or 20 feet away.

I have been working from home for a bit now and my headset I’ve had for years, quit working and I wasn’t at all happy with what worked replaced it with. Then I found this product. Amazing quality and price. It works so well and I would recommend to anyone needing a new headset!!
