Well-built, with great features!
The head pivots, locking at 90° intervals - handy for reaching into narrow spaces and allowing for storage flat against a wall (the rotating hanging loop at the top makes for easy hanging). The 5" span between the claws is wide enough to grab rolls of TP and paper towels I store on high cabinet shelves. The rubber claw tips provide non-slip grip, good for large items and also for retrieving dropped slips of paper, and they don't fall off - a frequent problem with the suction cups on cheaper grabbers. The tips are well-aligned, so picking up a pen or even a dropped pill is a breeze. The arms of the claws are curved, so that by rotating the head to a vertical position I can hook the handle of a bottle of dish or laundry soap on an upper shelf. The tiny magnet on one claw is great for picking up sewing pins, although the first time I used the Nifty Nabber to rescue a sock from behind the dryer, I had to rotate the magnetic claw away from the side of the dryer to keep it from clinging to the dryer. The trigger grip lacks a lock, but is so comfortable and easy to squeeze that it's not hard to hold the claws shut while lowering a retrieved item.I've tried 6 different brands of grabbers and these are by far the best. I have several - in the laundry room, kitchen, garage, car, even in my kayak. I've had them for a couple of years and have never had one break. They are light weight, but sturdy, and the plastic "arms" of the claws don't scratch things. They're great value at $20 - lots cheaper in the long run than the $9.99 cheapies with bendable shafts and suction cups that fall off.Note: I do use the heavier-duty Unger #92134 (with metal claw arms) to lift 150 oz. bottles of laundry detergent from high shelves in the garage, but the NT080 is a GREAT all around grabber.

BEST REACHER
Not easily broken. Functions great and helps me with my day to day duties. The magnetic side tip comes in handy too.

Handy and well-built. Different lengths for different purposes.
The Nifty Nabber is great for grabbing things in high places, low places, and behind things. We have several of different lengths. My wife has back problems and uses this shorter one to take things out of the clothes dryer and put them in a basket. We've also used them for grabbing things that fell behind the couch, washing machine, dryer or rolled under the bed or other furniture. They are also good for grabbing things off the top shelf in our closet. We took one with us on a neighbor hood clean up project to pick up trash, and it worked great. (After using it for that purpose, we donated it to the group who organizes these projects.) It's very well built. We've had several, and none have ever broken. We now have them on every floor of our house.

Unger makes a good product
Unger makes a good product dont bother purchasing other brands for trash pickup or as a reach tool. Good quality and has a nice secure grab.

Great device
This works wonderfully. I can pick up a toothpick, and even a cat whisker (if it's turned up a little). Pretty handy too for keeping a kitten from running out the door. I was worried that it would grip too hard---but it doesn't. It's not good for picking up heavy objects though but you can't have everything. The magnet is handy as well.Update---this grabber has lasted two years now. It does have a weight limit, and when I tried to get a small bag of flour out of the cabinet, it "broke." Fortunately my MacGyver mate was able to take it apart and fix it.

Tremendous!
I've been using this particular model for 7 years picking up thousands of small branches on my lawn from oak trees. It is still like new. It still works perfectly. Buy it while you still can!

Great helper
Super handy after surgery when you can't bend over. It's a must have. And another extra bonus was that it makes picking up all the torn out stuffing from dog toys easy. No more crawling around on the floor.

Best Grabber Especially for the Elderly
I bought this grabber for my mother and she loves it! After it arrived, she had trouble figuring out how the grabber tongs could be rotated in 90 degree increments (she later found out that you pull out on the grabber tongs head and rotate it 90 degrees, and then it drops back into place and locks). This allows the grabber to more easily pick up vertical or horizontal oriented objects (Picture a soda bottle standing up or laying on its side on the floor and you get the idea). The ends of the tongs themselves have serrated rubber tips which give them real dexterity for picking up very small objects such as a coin or a piece of paper! The tongs even incorporate a tiny but strong magnet for picking up small magnetic objects such as a steel key or small screwdriver. The feature I think that is really convenient for an elderly person is that the trigger is part of the handle and not a separate lever several inches in front of the handle, which can be awkard to control for a person with small hands. The only negative criticism I have is that there are no instructions on how to rotate the grabber head, which might be a problem for some ederly people who are not mechancially inclined. I sent an e-mail to Unger and they immediately replied with a helpful solution. Unger also makes this same model in a 36-inch length which might be better for a tall person.I have bought and used several grabbers, and this one by far is the best that I've seen and I highly recommend it!

It's not as good as the Unger Industrial Llc 92134 36-Inch Nifty Nabber ...
It's not as good as the Unger Industrial Llc 92134 36-Inch Nifty Nabber Pick-Up Tool with Aluminum Handle. To grap a lily pot (which granted is pretty heavy) it drops it unlike the Unger Industrial Llc 92134 36-Inch Nifty Nabber Pick-Up Tool with Aluminum Handle which i had bought at home depot but now they don't have it so i'll get it at amazon.
