More Sunflower Seeds than Healthy Seed Mix
I took several healthy scoops and noticed the huge amount of sunflower seeds. I decided to remove them and compare the amount of other types of seed left. As you can see it is about 60% sunflower seeds. There is also a label that says ānot for human consumptionā. I will not feed my parrots anything that I cannot eat myself. It makes me worry about what is added that would be harmful to me but ok for my pets. Growing up in Los Angeles we would get notices that said āIf you water your lawn today the grass will turn yellow but it is still safe to drinkā. I did not believe that then and will not fall for it now. I will remove all the sunflower seeds and mix it with cooked brown rice for the wild birds outside. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product

A preferred choice of my outdoor birds
I go through 40 pounds of wild bird feed every 3-4 weeks. This is way too expensive as a replacement, but I will be adding it in rotation with a couple of other āpremiumā mixes as a weekly ātreat.ā I have 13 feeders and know the relative action each sees. I put this mix in both a high and lower action feeder and monitored consumption and scattering. Consumption went up slightly in both feeders, and scattering was reduced in the usually high action feeder. For my collection of birds, which includes blue jays, doves, and three species of smaller birds, the increase was small, but observationally and quantitatively significant.Specific to this mix, I found no stems or other inclusions. I like that it comes in clear heavy plastic that is sturdy enough for sustained storage. By appearance alone, this looks to include āfresherā components. So for my mix of wild birds, common to the suburban/rural interface east of Monterey, CA, (just a few miles from Pinnacles National Park) this is an accepted, mildly preferred, high quality feed. Unfortunately, it comes at a (probably fully deserved) price that precludes daily feeding in the volumes required for my flocks, but which may be more tolerable for indoor pets. Quality is five stars, but overall 4 stars because of price.

Our birds will thank me when it snows
This bird seed mix is not just for parrots. I ordered this product for our wild outdoor birds because I feel so sorry for them when we have snow. They seem desperate to find enough to eat. This mix has a lot of different kinds of seeds that birds find appealing and that will sustain their life through periods of bad weather. This is a good quality mix and should supplement our birds for a few bad weather cycles. The only possible downside that I see on this product is that the price seems a little high to me. On the other hand I haven't checked store prices lately so it may be in line with others as everything is expensive now. I'm sure that if you talked to the hungry birds during a snow storm they would tell you that the price is well worth it.

Seems expensive?
Is a fairly common mix, also good for wild birds. It can be hard to compare various seed mixes since the ingredients vary from brand to brand, but this seems expensive vs other similar seed mixes considering there's no fruit, vegetables, or nuts. The picture of the piles of ingredients lined up shows 12-13 things, but the list of ingredients on the bag shows eight. Similar mixes in 7-10lb bags are around $10-15.A resealable bag would be handy.

EXPENSIVE FOR WILD BIRDS BUT NOT FOR PARROTS
I agree with another reviewer, this looks to be a standard wild bird mix. Our local birds will like it since it contains sunflower seeds and millet. Unlike cheaper songbird mixes, this one isn't dusty and will help keep our feeders cleaner. Costing $2.86 per pound, it is expensive as wild bird feed. But, when compared to other parrot-specific mixes, perhaps not.

Worth buying.
There is only one layer of plastic bag packaging, it is recommended to add another layer. Because if it breaks it will spill. I keep these outdoors in a bird feeder and the birds love to come and eat them. Even my chickens will fight together, my chickens knock over the bird feeder and share their food together𤣠It would be better if the price can be cheaper.

Not really for parrots
These are marketed for parents but I think it might be better for parakeets. About 98% of the seeds are very very tiny

African grey likes most of it
My African Grey likes most of this, he's not crazy about some little reddish round ones (red millet??)so he picks around those for the most part. The seed was fresh, no mold, no bugs, no clumps.7lbs is a nice size. It's not so much that I worry about bugs getting into it before I finish it, yet not so small that I'm having to buy constantly.First time using this brand and it seems fine to me.
