Kuku and Mwewe - A Swahili Folktale: A Swahili Folktale

I bought this book, and didn't check it, just expecting it to be bilingual, in Swahili and English. Except for about four or five vocabulary words, the whole work is in English. That said, it is well-made, with thick pages, meant for use with children. It is an interesting story, and supposedly from Africa. As is common with African children's stories, it "explains" why animals do certain things--in this case, why chickens peck the ground. Nice and long bedtime story.
