Quality kitchen knife
My kitchen knives are up to 40 years old and given great use but I have now decided to upgrade for Christmas . This kitchen knife is well balanced, very sharp and beautiful to look at with its Damascus blade. Will need to review further once it has been used.

really sharp
We have only had this a few weeks. This is a beautiful looking knife easy to hold and is very sharp. Obviously it will take a long time to be able to give an opinion after much use which would be better, but I can't see us changing from good to an other opinion. Our only concern is that it is so sharp we would suggest you are careful when using it as a slip could cause one to have a bad cut. It is so much better when carving or slicing vegetables than other knives we have had. We wish they offered a matching but smaller version.

Appearance.
The overall build quality and appearance of the knife is very good. The knife was razor sharp when it arrived but after minimal use it lost its edge and I have had to pass it across a ceramic rod to regain sharpness. I recon I will be sharpening the knife on my whetstone within the month. The description says that the knife is made of Damascus steel, as the knife has a pattern etched on the blade, it's not possible to see the blade surface to confirm this.I am generally pleased with the knife and at £38 it is ok but I wouldn't want to have paid more.Update; I have only had the knife for two weeks and with minimal use it is blunt. A ceramic rod fails to put an edge on the blade so I will have to use my whetstone. Very disappointed so have removed stars from my review.

Gosh this is sharp
Not too heavy, but well balanced in the hand, I was quite surprised how easily this knife sliced and diced an oinion, then whizzed the skin off a butternut squash. It isn't small, so you still may wish to have say a paring knife for fiddly bits, but what a pleasure this particular knife is to use.It comes well presented in a suitably heavy duty box with a couple of plastic widgets to protect the two corners of the blade.Be careful though as it is really, really sharp. The handle is resin with a good decorative pattern, easy to wash (watch those fingers!) and I keep mine dry in the box it came in.

Effortless cutting
A heavy and full tang knife with good weight distribution. The blade is ultra sharp and it effortlessly glides through everything. It's so good that I've removed a rarely used filleting knife from my Tefal knife block and put this in its slot. Thoroughly recommended if you're after a super sharp all-rounder. Looked after with a sharpening stone and honed with a steel rod, it should last for years. It arrives in a luxurious black, lift top box if you’re think of gifting it.

Great knife
Beautiful to look at and feels substantial in use. Very sharp and to date seems to be keeping its edge very well.Comes in a very nice box which is useful to keep it in to prevent any dulling of the blade.
