The cake looks exactly as pictured, it is huge! It’s delicious but a bit too sweet for even extreme sugar lovers as myself & my kids. Easy fix though, after serving a slice we just took off a portion of the top frosting & it balanced out well. I wouldn’t suggest making the cake smaller but I would suggest making the slices thinner. The average child can’t eat that entire slice, even as an adult it was hard for me to finish a huge slice. What I did was cover the slice with foil on a plate & return to it later. Minor things that wouldn't deter me from ordering again. My daughter isn’t a cake person but she loved it because of the edible cookie dough & tie dye colors inside the cake. She said it was so yummy plus unique decor, purple frosting, sprinkles etc. When ordering this cake please order it as close to the date as possible. Ours arrived 24hrs later / 3 days ahead of schedule & I had nowhere to store it since my freezer & fridge were full. I took a chance & left it in the original packaging, sat the packaging on my tile floor, it held up & stayed cold until 3 days later. It’s still cold here at night so that was very helpful, I wouldn’t recommend trying this in the summer. I didn’t expect it to arrive so soon but now I know for next time. Will definitely be ordering more cakes from here, overall delicious and better priced than their online site. We got an amazing treat at a great price! It made her birthday very special & unique 💜

Definitely fresh and full of flavor. It is difficult to only eat one piece (at any one mealtime) but, considering the calorie count per piece, I definitely force myself to stop with just one piece… but, I do mean ‘force’ myself! Yummy.If you like carrot cake, generally, I think you’ll love this!

I was dubious about this because it is store-bought and shipped, but could not resist getting if for the June birthdays at work. It arrived quickly and in beautiful condition. And much to my surprise, it tasted good too. My only complaint would be that it arrived 3 days earlier than stated, which could have been problematic if I weren't there to receive it. But I was, so it worked out in the end.

The cake is scrumptious and very rich and I know chopped walnuta in the batter would enhance the flavor and cut the sweetness. It comes very well insulated and sliced. We did place a number of slices in freezer all wrapped up and left some in our refrigerator which we have already eaten. Yum!

Excellent, and well worth the price!

The recipients ate this cake piece by piece as a mid-day dessert for two weeks. I was told it was fresh tasting and delicious. It arrived in the dry ice and it was nicely packaged and it looked beautiful with the carrots on top. It was a big hit. Thank you. I recommend.

Delicious cake.

I don't really do reviews and I usually only do "bad" ones for really awful customer service. This situation is interesting because the packaging and delivery were beyond exceptional, the cake however was not :'(. The reviews were very good and the cake was so expensive I thought it would be wonderful but it wasn't. It was huge and certainly looked beautiful, but was very low on actual carrot, had no raisins or nuts or any texture, or unique, homemade, deliciousness of any kind. It was not rich or moist. It had a very cheap over sweetness to it and the frosting was kind of like this as well. The frosting was oddly too tangy and I'm not quite sure why. It was perfectly thawed but has a firm yet dry consistency which is very strange. Too much of some ingredients and not enough of others is my guess. I attribute it to the butter quality and quantity possibly as I'm a baker myself. I chopped some nuts I had just to try to give it something but it didn't work too great. I have about half the cake left and it's a big bummer because I have to force myself to eat it :/. I'm sorry to leave such a bad review but it is the least favorite Carrot Cake I have had. It was packaged and shipped exceptionally like I said, but for over 50 dollars what's the point if it isn't appetizing to you? Bumskies :(
