Absolutely the best
If you're one of those folk who likes to keep your car looking clean and shiny whatever the weather, and no matter how old your car (or you) might be, this is stuff you want to have on hand. It is gentle, effective and provides the best shine possible, whether your car is nearly new or has 100,000 miles on it.My daily driver is an original owner, 18 year old, bright red M3, and it still turns heads because it still looks great - thanks in part to regular use of 3M hand glaze. Here's what you do - wash your car well, using one of the better car wash solutions like Meguiar's hi-tech wash or P21S car shampoo. Dry. Then use Griot's Garage (or similar) paint cleaning clay to remove surface contaminants and start to work on the swirls and other imperfections in your paint. (You can skip this step, but I've recently discovered this cleaning clay and it really does wonders, especially on cars that spend a lot of time in the woods where birds, bugs and tree sap are unavoidable). Now - get out the 3M Imperial hand glaze. This stuff is very finely abrasive and supremely gentle on your paint - clear coat or not. Use a terry or foam applicator pad to rub the glaze into the paint and rub out fine swirls and scratches. Work on a small section of the car at a time -- perhaps a square foot or so of surface. Always buff the glaze off, before it dries, with a best quality cotton or microfiber polishing cloth. When you're done with the 3M hand glazing process, your paint will be at its best - silky smooth and contaminant free. It will shine as best as it knows how - but you're not finished. This is a polish, not a protectant wax. So now's the time to protect the paint with a high quality wax - I recommend P21S carnauba or one of the Zymol paste waxes.Follow this regimen, do it two or three times a year and keep your car washed in between. If you care about how your car looks, then year after year, you will be glad you did.

3M Imperial Hand Glaze
Ever since One Grand stopped producing Special Touch, I have been looking for a substitute non-abrasive cleaner. I was guided to try this product. This is not a new product, but it is truly a substitute that is worthy of your attention. It is recommended for hand use, so there is some elbow grease involved, but it cleans and reintroduces the beautiful shine on my single stage paint. I have not tried to apply it with a polisher (like I could with Special Touch), but the results are excellent. Only do a small area at a time in the shade to get the best results.

Five Stars
Amazing for dark colour cars, takes some rubbing off but what a difference

Great glaze - very easy to apply and remove
I have a '94 Corvette with Black Rose Metallic paint, which in GM talk means it's a very dark purple metallic. I am currently getting it 'pretty' for a caravan and I am going through the three step 3M process starting with the Perfect It scratch remover. This glaze is the second step and I'm finishing with their show car wax. To be pithy, this stuff simply is fantastic. I think what impresses me the most is that it goes on very easily, comes off easily and there is a difference you can see when you wipe it down. The metallic in the paint 'pops' and in the sunlight is really beautiful. I've tried many of the other boutique preparations but this is by far the best I've found. Remember, it is part of a system and if you are faithful to go through the steps, you will be amazed.Another use, I've begun to use it on the clear plastic headlight lenses on my Accord and Mazda B3000 and it is great for that as well.

Not the easiest to use but with great results!
I have used this stuff in the past, but honestly don't remember it being this pricey! Regardless, its definitely worth the price. I picked up a used 2019 Subaru for my son to drive. The paint was looking a bit tired - even for a four year old car. Using the hand glaze (after a thorough wash with a quality car wash soap and dry with a squeegee and microfiber cloth), I was able to buff out most of the smaller, fine scratches and give a very "wet" look to the paint. The glaze goes on easy, but does not come off as easily!! Took some rubbing and several micro fiber cloths, but the results came out really really well. The paint looks glossier and has kept that shine for several days thus far. It's really important to put this stuff on and take it off while the car is cool and in the shade. Doing this in full sun makes it much much harder to remove - and I suspect won't have the same good results. I downgraded one star since its hard to remove and (again) a bit pricey; but I haven't found any product that does nearly as well at renewing paint.
