While as one reviewer mentioned, it is a project to get these together, it is also well worth it. These are very sturdy and I could see reusing them year after year. They also look extremely cute all put together. My kids actually really enjoyed helping me put them together as an activity. The instructions on the Amazon page do make it pretty easy. I tried a couple other box-type advent things and these are by far the most sturdy and classic looking, whe being a very affordable price.Unlike more flimsy ones, these are made of thicker material.

I’m making my own advent calendar for my husband this year and thought these were super cute so I got them without really looking at reviews or details. They’re much smaller than I anticipated and it does take time to build them, which is something I expect. My only issue with it really is the side where the cardboard meets and is glued, makes it difficult to fold. I included a photo to show what I mean.The medium and large sizes aren’t as difficult to build, but the smaller ones are definitely annoying. If they made the medium sized ones, the smallest one and added a bigger one for the large, I think they’d be perfect.

The boxes are easy to fold and perfect for smaller items like mini jars of jam, teabags, lip balms and etc.

These were cute and worked well; maybe a little too hard to put together

These boxes are super cute! Unfortunately the placement of the seam inside the box is aligned with the roof folds (instead of the flat side) and therefore it is impossible to neatly fold the boxes. They also take a very long time to assemble. (I opted for hot glue.). Once assembled, they are adorable, albeit imperfect.

I used these boxes for 24 days of Xmas experiences. They have various sizes and are easy to assemble.

These advent calendar boxes are very cute. However, that’s about the only thing I liked about them. First, the package does not come with instructions on how to assemble so you need to take a few minutes to figure it out or come back to Amazon to look at the graphic that shows you. Still, not very clear. Next, they take about 5 minutes per box to put together. You have to crease the top part to form the roof which is not easy, especially for the one part that has double the cardboard. Then you have to put the bottom together. Finally, the string is not precut and comes in a big mess! They’re also much smaller than I realized and don’t really hold much, but that part is on me for not thinking about how big 2 inches actually is. If you don’t mind spending time putting these together and figuring it out, then go for it. Otherwise I suggest a traditional advent calendar.

These little houses are cute but that’s it. The seam is not on the right side inside the box which makes the roof really difficult to neatly fold. At least, I know my toddler won’t mind even if they’re not perfect ;)
