Great resource, but hard to navigate
I really enjoyed this book for my teenager. It did read like a textbook, and it was difficult for him to navigate what was life skills and what was statistics.

Useful skills not taught in school...
This is a practical book about important life skills that aren't usually taught in school. Topics include finances, health, medical, cooking, housekeeping, car maintenance, job hunting, relationships, and more. I wish I had a book like this when I was a kid!

Includes many good topics but lacks depth
Teenagers today turn to Youtube or search on Google for "How to" content. They can watch videos or learn from countless online resources. So, most teenagers will rely on audiovisual resources instead of reading a book. I liked the range of topics covered in this book but consider this just a starting point. Most chapters were very shallow and not suitable for implementation. The author has covered very important and useful topics. This book could have been significantly better if it had more illustrations or video tutorials.

Clear, upbeat, fun, encouraging
Here’s another wonderful book I wish I’d had when I was a teen. In a clear, upbeat, fun, encouraging manner, the author offers many suggestions for teens to step into adulthood with ease…and properly hemmed pants! Many other important life skills are taught as well.

Trust, team building, accountability
Brought for an up and coming teenager. Teachs at a very basic level, gets kids back into books and out of screen time. Good material tho a tad advance. Good teenage to adult reading material.

Great book
it can be hard being a teenager - so much expected of you at such a young age and the daunting prospect of becoming an adult and having to survive without your parents. But this book does a great job of teaching the most important life skills - cooking, communication, social skills, plus much more. I found the section useful on helping to find a job - some great tips there for teens.
