Passions Of The Grande Dame Hotel: A Novel set at The Breakers of Palm Beach

This historical fiction is Deby Eisenberg’s third book. The story takes the reader to the glorious days of the Breakers hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, as well as to the hard times. The story of the hotel and its’ guests is intertwined with world events between the 2 world wars and into the late seventies. In her rich language Deby tells the stories of two generations of old and newcomers as they tangle and untangle. I enjoyed reading it and couldn’t put it down.

From Russia to New York to Palm Beach, you will travel an emotional journey with the characters, and be exposed to facts about WW11 in America you might have not known. But at its heart, the story, which has twists and turns, is about the power of love and passion. Loved the author's other novels, " Pictures of the Past" and "Protecting Page".

I enjoyed the story of the love and the loss of relationship set in the background of World War II and later in the 1970's and a beautiful ending

I am trying to spare others from wasting money on this book. The editing is horrible. Words misspelled, punctuation awful, starting sentences with a lower case letter...the list is long. I don't blame the author for those, but I do blame her for poor writing and missing basic facts. Disney in Orlando is Disney World not Disney Land. Palm Beach is north of Miami! I couldn't finish it and I can count on one hand the books I couldn't finish.

Deby Eisenberg's newest book is wonderful! Not only is it a page turner, it educates its readers about an important piece of history that occurred in West Palm Beach Florida during World War II that is virtually unknown. Deby weaves a beautiful story from various time periods into a book you won't be able to put down! Her characters are truly unforgettable.

This book will capture you with the plot. And then the characters will grab your heart. Loved following Rebecca’s journey to America and how her path of hope and heartbreak played out throughout the pages. The ending was perfect. - Historical Fiction Fan

Moving historical fiction! Great how the women’s stories with love and separations, from different places and times, merge together. A wonderful, satisfying ending.
