Great Quality for a Very Reasonale Price. Be Patient When Cutting
Like them enough to buy two. Sturdy, well made, and at better price than others. Pre-cut is more to my liking than the "pick and pluck" of others, but opinions will vary on that. Those with good spatial awareness and desiring an exact fit to their personal liking will like the Pelican counterpart better IMHO. If not particularly good at spatial visualization, or if less patient about outlining and positioning before plucking, then pre-cut is better for you. I'm not at all a fan of the cases with "dimple" foam top and bottom, but again a personal choice with pros and cons.If first time removing the various sections then use some patience and discretion. "Measure twice, cut once". Lay the gun on the uncut foam and make sure you know which sections have to come out. If you have to remove some others than the central one, remember the supplied knife is sharp and it is easy to color outside of the lines, er cut outside the lines, especially in the curves fitting a 1911. Use the back of the knife just on the surface to outline the areas to come out and once sure then cut down a few strokes at a time. If you have to widen an area on a curve, make sure to nick the area to come out (yeah I know, duh, but easy to slip).High-end semi customs tend to come in nylon carry cases vice hard boxes (i.e. Wilson, Nighthawk - which I can actually afford now that my two little witches are out of their masters programs :-) ). Again maybe good enough for short-term storage, with desiccant packs added, but will attract and retain moisture in a more humid climate - even if stored in temperate indoor conditions. If don't have a safe then a sturdy case like this with desiccant and LOCKED is the BARE MINIMUM that one should do. Won't deter theft in the least bit but will at least slow down naïve and innocent of all ages. Naturally if you live in one of them, thar repressive states, then sorry for you and you gotta put your pride and joy away in whatever bank vault they tell ya, along with all that background checked ammo you can't buy and shouldn't have - from that big chain retailer who won't sell it you now anyhow. Of course, don't ever store a gun in the nylon soft case (or a holster of any material) in a gun safe.Haven't tested the waterproof'ness and don't intend to. But, the O ring in the lid seems sturdy and of a material that won't deteriorate too badly over time. It isn't a 5 ATM dry box but doesn't pretend to be. Construction seems good enough to withstand getting caught in rain, and perhaps being dropped into very shallow water for a min or two.Case is a good product that does exactly what it claims to do. You could do a lot worse for the same money.

Excellent value. Buy this instead of making your own.
I had been making mine own cases. I would use a cheap Harbor Freight or Walmart Flambeau case and then using plasti dip in the cheap foam. For about the same price, I tried one of these. And man, I’m impressed. No elbow grease required and the foam is high quality. Beats out plasti dipped foam all day. Case is really good too.I did make two modifications. First, I made the magazine slots one giant opening. Now I can’t for 4 1911 magazines with base pads in a row + a busting wrench. I don’t know how guys were jamming in 4 magazines into those 2 slots.Second, I found one of those free logo stickers gun makers give you when you buy a gun. Slapped it in the case and now I have a sharp looking case!Insolvent defiantly be buying another case for another handgun I have.

You couldn't find a better case for the money
I shopped for a sturdy single-gun TSA approved case and found this one from Case Club. I was really pleased when it arrived and was just as shown on Amazon. It even came with a razor knife to cut the foam for a custom fit. If you're careful, and take a little to modify the factory cut-outs, it is really very easy to do just as I've done (see photo). I even made a slight mod so may larger P40 would fit. Both the compact PM9 and P40 fit tight (PM9 shown). I especially like the perimeter seal and the metal lock hole reinforcements. The latches and hinges are very strong, like the rest of the case. I suspect you could really run over it with a car and have no damage!. As a bonus, it's size requires little space inside my crowded luggage. Overall I'm very pleased.

Super Sturdy!
This box is a real brute. The plastic shell seems very hearty and the latches close strong. There will definitely be no prying this case open while it is latched/locked. I also like the lock slots a lot as they are metal reinforced and easy to use. The high density foam is great, especially if you custom cut it to fit exactly your gun, which I did. I have not tested the waterproof feature, but it does seem to have a strong seal.

EXCELLENT CASE FOR THE MONEY
This is a sturdy well made case that's worth every penny. A Glock 23 (Gen 5) and two magazines fit perfectly. Would recommend that you take your time when removing the pre-cut foam pieces. I'm not 100% certain but I'm pretty sure that the case is TSA compliant.

3rd time’s a charm!! Great customer service!!
The 1st case I received had a hinge missing on the handle, so I requested an exchange through Amazon. The replacement case had the SAME EXACT hinge missing on the handle. The case came with the company’s business card so I emailed them pics of both cases I received through Amazon. I received a fairly prompt reply from Megan Hurst in Product Sales at Case Club. She confirmed the cases definitely are supposed to have both hinges, and sent me a 2nd replacement case directly from Case Club along with a return label for me to send the 1st replacement directly back to them. I am very pleased with this case! Very well made and durable. My Smith & Wesson fits nice and snug in the case. Excellent, excellent customer service experience!

Great for Air travel
I bought this for my daughter and a Bersa .380 for Christmas. She flew back to Missouri with it, no problems. The case is super tough and has places for two locks and one around the handle if you really wanted to. The cutouts are well thought out, easy to adapt to any semi auto. Firearm is held firmly unlike other cases that allow guns to slide around. I'm going to see if they make one for revolvers. Great case!

Pre-cut cut outs worked well
I pulled out the precut sections until my full size .9mm and 2 clips fit perfectly. It's what I keep the gun in on the boat.
