i couldn't be more pleased with this dress! i was apprehensive after reading all the poor reviews but took a chance anyway and i'm glad i did. the fit is SO flattering and the material is nice and gauzy.i will say a few things to be aware of though- everyone is absolutely right that you should order up a size. i usually wear a medium in clothing and have a C cup, so i ordered the medium/large and for a moment when i was first putting on the dress i thought it was going to be too small. the other thing to note is that in the pictures, the ivory color looks like an almost-white cream color. when i received mine it's definitely much darker than i expected, but it's still very pretty.it's a great base for a costume and i didn't find that it was uncomfortable with a corset, but you should probably wear shorts or something underneath it because the front is a little shorter than i realized.

4.5 stars.I like this dress and it seems well made, though it's not made from thick material. It's a single layer of gauze fabric, but that's what I was expecting, so it's all good.. It fits nicely, as well.Be warned, this dress runs SMALL. I ordered the 3X/4X, expecting it to be quite large (I wanted it to pleat/poof out from above and below a corset), and while it does fit me, it's not a true 3-4X.It also has an unexpected under-arm zipper on one side, which is handy if you have particularly broad shoulders or quite large breasts that won't easily fit through the narrower portion of this dress. (I don't need it myself, but it could come in handy for especially broad shouldered individuals.)There are six VERY long strings attached -- two under each arm, and two at the back of the waist area -- which I'm guessing are meant to be wound around arms/torso for definition, and to give more of that Renn Faire/tavern wench/lady pirate vibe. I don't personally find them necessary and plan to cut them off VERY CAREFULLY.I wouldn't recommend this as a dress to wear on a daily basis, but if you're looking for something light weight, attractive, and a little bit unusual for a party or costume event, I don't think you can go wrong with this. It's well worth the price, imho.Just remember to order a size up.

This dress is exactly what I was looking for to wear under my corset for RenFair. It would be adorable even without. The color is a deep ivory - sort of a sand color, which is perfect for costumes that are meant to be "older" looking. Looks fantastic with browns and golds.I see a lot of people saying that it runs small, but that wasn't my experience at all. I got the M/L, with the following stats: Height - 5'4" Waist - 31" (high waist) Hips - 44" Bra - 36C. It fit me perfectly. The length is just right - the front is long enough to be cute without being too revealing (it could actually afford to be just a bit shorter on someone of my height, actually), and the back is just right with a short heel, and doesn't drag even without a heel. The material is fairly sheer, but is fine with some nude underwear as long as you're comfortable with the silhouette of your thighs being visible through the dress at certain angles in the sunlight.I can see the dress being a bit tight if you have large breasts for your size, but otherwise, the fit was exactly as described. I think the key is not to go by a dress/pant/shirt size - get a tape measure and actually measure your waist and bust. It's going to depend on where you carry your weight.

Amazing dress for costume/cosplay. Super comfortable and easy to layer for any outfit! It was breezy and warm at the same time. The material was thick and soft.

After spending $60 on this dress, I saw Walmart had it for $25. With that being said, the dress is cute and fits well. The long strands of rope looking material look cool once you have someone else there to wrap them to high heaven, however, regardless of how tight you wrap them, they will fall down unless you are willing to completely cut your upper body circulation off. Check other sources online as you can DEFINITELY find this dress for a fraction of the price.

I bought this to wear to a pirate themed party. I am 5’6”, 145 lbs and a 34DD. After ready the reviews I originally ordered a medium/large but it was too big. I returned that one and ordered the small/medium and it was a good comfortable fit, especially after I tied the waist and arms. It wasn’t a super tight fitting dress, but it was very flattering. The off the shoulder part stayed put all night and I didn’t have to keep messing with them like I do with some off the shoulder tops. I wore it with over the knee wedge boots to complete the pirate wench look! Sorry, I had so much fun that night I didn’t get any pictures of the whole outfit!!

Fits true to size. I got a large. I wear a medium shirt (snug). I prefer a large to have more room. The large dress was a bit more roomy and worked better with a corset for a costume! The white is semi shear but a tan cami fixed that! Same dress as spirit Halloween but 10-15$ cheaper.

Beautiful dress. I bought the wine color. Love it!! Using the dress for Halloween. When I got it I was so excited to try it on just to know it’s big on me. I originally order small/medium. I emailed the company to cancel it and i bought the Medium/ large. Mistake. I cancel the original order due to the reviews. I guess everybody type is different. The dress does not run small. It’s true to size. I was excited to order it I did not read the reviews. I am 34 DD 26inch waist. I wear size 3 jeans. The medium large it’s big.! Because the material is gauze it stretches out.So I have a waist cincher belt from previous costum which I will wear to bring it together. The dress is not see through at all. I cannot return it to exchange because won’t get it in time for my costume party. So this will have to do.

Its a beautiful dress but very thin. Also the straps to tie around arm are insanely long ! Nothing scissors can't fix great for the festival im taking it too ! Just got to wear something white underneath
