The media could not be loaded.  I first bought this hat as a gag gift for my buddies at the cabin. But we had rain one day and I was caught out without a raincoat to walk back to my truck. I had put this in my backpack, just in case and this was the time that was the case.I did purchase a really nice tree umbrella from Amazon for less than $20: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0869CJDFB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that is very nice. But when walking without a rain jacket or proper hat, you'll be soaked before you get to camp or the truck. This hat saved the day. It is wide enough to cover my shoulders and front and it even covered part of my backpack.It's not nearly as rainproof as a poncho or coat, but then it also doesn't get you all sweaty like those do either.It fit down over my hat without too much trouble and as you can see in the video, you'll hear me say that it is uncomfortable putting it on as the elastic band is a bit sharp and scratched my forehead. But over a hat, it's not uncomfortable. It is a little difficult to maneuver in and around trees. My hat goes off to the moose, elk, and deer with antlers that can run through trees and brush without bouncing their antlers or getting them caught and falling down, which unfortunately did happen to me a time or two till I got out into thinner woods.

I fish in Florida. The sun is a beast here. Bought this as a joke with my bass tournament buddies BUT I now wear it on those direct sun days. It really works.

Good for the price, wish it were a little bit sturdier

It does cover the head although the elastic that it covers is kind of flimsy but it works.I have used it and it is convenient. Hands free when you quickly walk to and from car. May use also at a park etc.

U HV TO WEAR IN THE OPEN. LIKE OUTSIDE... NOT LIKE A HAT... DIFFICULT TO WEAR IF UR WORKING ON UR CAR, for example... NOT PRACTICAL. BUT!!BUT - WHERE ITs 90-100+ degrees & U MUST BE OUTSIDE (YARD WORK, TOURING, etc.), BEATS A HAT - ANY -DAY!!! ANNNNY DAY!!! KEEPS SHOULDERS, OTHER BODY PARTS SHADED AS WELL. CAMO LOOK IS COOL. MY NEIGHBORS DONT KNOW WHAT TO MAKE OF IT. HEH. THINK THEY'RE JEALOUS. I DONT CARE!!!! Im COOL. ...LITERALLY!!COME TO FIND OUT, 1 NEIGHBOR HAD ALREADY BOUGHT 2 - FOR HIS DAUGHTERS (PINK). SAYS THEY LOVE 'EM!! KEEP 'EM IN THEIR CARS. WEAR EVERY CHANCE THEY CAN! SAYS HE's GONNA BUY ONE NOW, TOO.. HELL!!!THEY'RE PRACTICAL. THATs WHY THEY WORK.

I purchased 3, 2 color Blue and 1 in Camo. The quality, size and fit were drastically different! The Camo one won’t even comfortably fit my 9 year old grandson.Elastic is tight and the metal rods dig into the forehead! Not recommended!

I'm a teacher with CAR DUTY... enough said! In all seriousness , I needed something that could provide shade and keep my hands eye for the walkie talkie. This provides shade from sun, heat and rain. Easy to assemble with 1 click. Just wish it had other colors to choose from!

Just got my umbrella hat and it came the very next day, as promised! Thanks AMAZON PRIME!!! I got this for the Sun mostly (fishing/walking).. Very sturdy and lightweight at the same time. I love it! I’m still wearing it right now as I type, in my back yard directly under the sun!😩😅 the wind is blowing extremely hard and it’s extremely hot out here... So my review is....BUY IT!!! It’s a STDEAL 😉

I went to a festival this weekend & as usual the British weather let us down. The umbrella hats kept us dry & also kept our drinks from being watered down! A lot of people said they looked great as they are wider than most.

I am an adult with a big head and it fits very nicely. It is bigger than I expected, which is good if it stays put. I really haven't used it so I am not going to comment on that.
