Great for the money worth

I read some comments on other brands and this is the only one I read describing how easy the installation was. This is the second phone I have purchased this protector for. The first shield began detaching from the screen after 4-5 months and I thought it was just some moisture infiltration at the bottom. The small bubble grew and ran up the left side but didn't affect the performance so I used it as is instead of wasting a second shield. After attaching the screen on my second phone I think I know why the first one started detaching. The instructions say use the wet then the dry wipe then attach the screen guide and use the dabbing sticker to remove dust. I used the sticker on the screen before placing the guide so that I could get the sticker to touch the entire screen surface. With the guide in place, the sticker misses along the edge of the screen and potentially leaves an area with dust. Maybe, maybe not, but that's what I did this time around. There is not much clearance between the shield's edge and the edge of the positioning guide but I use an otter box defender on my phone and noticed the first phone had a small gap you could feel when swiping up from the bottom edge. To avoid this, I positioned the shield against the bottom edge of the guide and no longer have that noticeable gap at the bottom edge. I've dropped the phone a couple of times but not directly on the screen. Only time will tell if the shield truly makes a difference.

I love this screen protector. Full stop.I am actually buying this product for the second time after I ruined my last protector.Even after I experienced some cracks on the screen due to my own carelessness, I was able to continue using for a full year afterwards with no issues until a larger accident (see below). Unlike other screen protectors, cracks are completely isolated to just the area of impact; the whole screen doesn't become shattered, so you can continue using for a long time. There is no peeling or distortion of the images that are being viewed under the cracks. I have recommended this product to many others.Regarding the larger accident, my phone slipped into the middle of my recliner a couple of days ago. Unknowingly, I pushed down on the lever to recline backwards....and you can imagine what happened next....CRACK! After what felt like an hour of fishing for my phone (and it accidentally dialing the cops when the lever pushed down on the phone), I was finally able to retrieve it dreading the overall shape of my phone screen. Unsurprisingly, this screen protector took ALL of the impact with just one minor scrape and some new cracks. I really can't thank and recommend this product enough for protecting my phone!

good buy and good fit

At the end of the day, a Tempered Glass Screen Protector is what it is. No matter which brand you go with, it is going to add a layer of protection so that if you drop your phone and it hits screen first, the screen protector cracks so your phone glass doesn't. The real game changer is when a company adds tools to make your installation go smoothly. A+ to XDesign for doing just that.I used to work at an AT&T Store, and we had some novel techniques for putting on screen protectors without creating excess bubbles or getting dust underneath the protector (generally involving lots of wasted tape), but honestly, this was the easiest, quickest, most successful installation I have ever had. My wife even pointed out how fast the installation went after I was done because she's used to me having to rig something up to get all of the edges to line up perfectly (I'm a bit anal about this). On this though, all I had to do was clean the phone surface well, get the remaining dust off with a bit of tape, clip the phone into the guide, remove the plastic sheet from the screen protector and place it into the guide in the right direction. The guide is precise enough that there is almost no play on the screen, and in one try, I got the protector to apply bubble and dust free. Only time will tell how the oil-resistant coating holds up, but at least I have 3 of them.

My old iPhone didn’t have the glass screen protector and I dropped it once. I had two choices, pay $150 to Verizon to replace the phone because I paid for the insurance plan. Or pay some random phone store downtown to replace the screen for $100. When I bought my new IPhone X I got the screen protector. 5 months later, I just cracked my screen protector by dropping it on my hardwood floor. I was sad because going to Verizon sucks and takes forever to get help. My kid ends up running rampant around the store taking everything of the walls and rearranging their inventory. Such a waste of time and costly. They charged me $30 for the screen protector when I bought my phone. So I cracked my screen protector and thought well Amazon has practically everything maybe I can order a new one and do it myself at home. Like what kind of genius do you have to be to install a piece of glass, right? So I was first amazed that I could get three glass protectors for just 10 bucks. I got them in 2 days and made sure my counter was cleaned. Kept my kid occupied. Washed my hands and followed the directions. It was so simple. I am so happy! It took 5 minutes and $3.00 plus tax! I have 2 more screens Incase I need them. So awesome, you won’t regret it!
