My 8 year old wants a REAL puppy so this was the next best thing. She loves her Lucy especially since she can talk to her and she listens.

I bought this for my 5 yr old grandaughter but had to send Lucy back as she was Spanish.The product description stated that the language was English but both the box and instructions were in Spanish so I presumed that the commands would need to be Spanish too. I didn't want to risk removing the dog from the packaging to test it in case I would not be allowed to return it if it was unsuitable.

My 7 year old granddaughter who received the dog as a birthday present was absolutely deleted when her Father demonstrated how it responded to his voice and the tricks it could do. However, it would not respond to her voice at all when she called it's name, although I and other adult family members received a good response. She was in tears! She has a normal voice for her age and was apparently doing everything right but still no luck. I have been in touch with the manufacturers and they replied to my first email basically repeating what was in the instructions. I went back to them explaining the problems once again and confirming that she seemed to be doing everything right but I have received no response to that email. Customer service is therefore useless! I cannot recommend this product at all because the experience for that little girl was devastating.

I bought this in November for a Christmas present. It therefore did not get opened until 25th December. It proved impossible to get it to recognise commands and was put away for the duration of the holiday, until the 2nd week in January when adults managed to get it working. It worked for 2 weeks and then stopped. I did not hear about this for a week or 2 and now I find I am too late by 4 days to send it back. I would have been better off buying a normal soft toy. My granddaughter is very disappointed. As am I.

Bought for our daughter for Christmas, Lucy came with a full set of working batteries, no issues in the first 24 hours and she’s very much loved.Lucy also has an app that you can download for more tricks and treats, you can even take selfies with her on it. Perfect for a nearly 5 year old

Daughter loved this when it worked which was normally with the help of an adult as difficult to get across to a four year old that they have to wait for a bark before giving the command.However, it's not robust enough for a four year old to play with and the rear legs are now making a clicking noise when moving. Had a replacement and that's already developed the same fault.
