Kamigami Scarrax Robot - Discontinued by Manufacturer

Saw this item at a big "craft store" that wanted $59.99 for it. Checked Amazon and of course the price of $9.99 was a great find. Purchased it for my ten year old. It was a little complicated following the app directions but there are plenty of videos around to help you build the chassis. I mean, I'm a 43 year old mom, and I did it :) Anyway, finally got it built and wow, this thing is pretty darn awesome! The app on the phone is easy to use and it has a lot of really cool play functions. I would definitely recommend this as a gift! The bug is super fast and my kids love making it run around. I will be watching for the other bugs to come down in price :)

Gave this to my 10-year-old nephew for Christmas; he loved it! He was able to put it together on his own in a couple of hours, as well as download and navigate the app himself. He did say that some of the pieces were quite delicate and needed careful handling, but nothing broke while putting it together. It moves really fast, and has a truly bug-like movement to it. It’s a little hard to steer because it moves so fast, but the unpredictability makes it even more fun. The whole family took turns ‘driving’ it around, and everyone had a blast. It was a big hit!

If it wasn't for the fact I had to watch a video to put it together this would get 5 stars. It works great, is super fun to play with, looks cool, and my son loves it. I did have an issue pairing it to one of our phones, which also drops it a half star.

This is a pretty cool toy for kids who like tech and bugs. The parts go together in about an hour without too much challenge, but the directions are on the app and not printed on paper. The app makes driving the scorpion really easy and fun and tracks your distance with awards when you unlock distance achievements. There's a battle option if you have more than one bot, which we haven't tried yet but seems pretty cool. The sound effects of the app are fun too. All in all a great tech toy for a little engineer.

I love this! Super fun! Assembly was a bit tough, so if this is a gift for a child an adult will need to help them. I found it doesn't work so great on my hardwood floors or thick carpet but if you find a good middle ground its perfect. The app had a lot more functions than I was expecting which was great.

These things are amazing! I teach high school physics and run a STEM club for some middle school kids. I read the negative reviews about "no instructions" and checked out the product web page. The instructions are included in the free app you download to control these little bots.So it took 3 8th graders about 30 minutes assemble the understructure. No help from me. Connected to a tablet via bluetooth and we had the little critter running around like crazy. These bots can move!And for $10?We have 4 now and have free-for-all battles. One nice feature is the ability to "send" healing rays to help out bots low on health.Highly recommend.

I read the reviews and decided to put this together the 2 days before Christmas. Luckily I did it as it took me about 2 hours.... Not what I would have liked to do on Christmas Eve.Kids loved it but left side legs strated dragging and keeps going in circles.I'm going to reopen it and not excited about having to put it together again but we will see how it does second time around.

So fun making it run around! Nothing bad about this toy! Really easy to make with app. The explanations are super-clear. I was just going through a bug phase and now I'm going through a robot one so I love this product. Favorite toy! Unfortunately, there are no other robots around to play tag with. It's really cool if you have two of them or if one of your friends has one. Warning: cats are super-phobic of this toy! So are some of my friends when they first see it but they now like it.By Oscar, age 6.5

My son loves this toy! Really impressed with how well they work. The downside is they are a bit difficult to assemble.

The look on my face upon opening this box was with great disatisfaction! All I saw was a little motor, snap on plastic pieces with no assembling instructions! I am impressed with the quick response back from the seller and how he gave me a refund. This is why I give them a 4 star. I do believe if they dropped the price, and put instructions it would sell nicely!!
