I didn't know how these plastic taps would hold up in the cold and with me hitting it with a hammer into the tree hole, but they were excellent. Sturdy solid plastic, and the hoses stayed on the whole season even when the temperature was all over the place. The hoses are somewhat opaque and you can see the liquid coming down, which helps see if you've got any flow. They were a good length so I could stick it through a hole in some milk cartons. The clean up was easy, as well. It is more solid then they look on here, and are a WORTHY purchase. I plan on getting more for next year's harvest.

Just hooked them up today for our 2nd season of use. They work great and are very sturdy! We bought buckets with lids, drilled a hole in the lid and use them for each tree (we do about 10 trees only). Perfect.

Made walnut syrup for the first time. Should’ve started earlier but this made a great trial run. Happy with the results.

These were so easy to install my 11 year old did this. It’s a great value for your money especially if you’re just dabbling in maple syrup. Also, easy to remove at end of run.

Worked great! No leaks! I just zip tied bags to the end of the hose or had them connected to a food grade pail. The extra length comes handy when you're working on uneven (extremely uneven!) ground or you have 2 trees close enough together, where only one bucket is required.
