Alex Evenings Women's Long Dress with Mandarin Neckline Jacket (Regular Petite Plus)

I ordered the electric blue in sizes 12 and 14. I received navy blue and not the electric blue I ordered. I am 5'4", 147 pounds and the 12 and 14 both fit. The 12 is a touch tighter, but still looks good and felt comfortable. Both jackets fit fine. They do have shoulder pads in them as well. The shoulder straps on both dresses could be pulled up a bit in alteration. It would have to be pulled up more on the 14 than the 12 in my case and the length on both is the same and definitely needs to be shortened for me. With the larger size, the bodice could be taken in a touch on the sides for me, but everything except the length could be fine without altering if the jacket was worn all the time, which I will be doing anyway. On one, it is clear that the person sewing the neckline pulled the material too tightly as there is a small spot right in the middle that is slightly stretched and so does not lay perfectly flat against the chest. What people say about the glitter is true. It does shed off the dress and I had glitter all over the floor after trying both of them on. The glitter is very fine though. I don't know what color the glitter is on the other colors of dresses, but the glitter on the navy blue ones I received is blue so it doesn't stand out like you have silver specks all over you. I like that it blends in but is still sparkly. They seem to be decently made. They are made in China, unfortunately. I like the dress, but I am not happy they sent the wrong color and I would really like them to send the right color.

I originally ordered this for a wedding in Chicago in December. The fit was perfect and looked great. I got sick and could not attend the wedding so I sent it back.My husbands school has a benefit gala every year so when the notice was sent out I re ordered the same dress. Again, the fit was perfect and looked wonderful.Alex Evenings is a brand I’ve bought before at Dillard’s and they did not let me down!

I love this dress! Ordered for my son's wedding. Beautiful in navy blue. I'm normally a true 22, but this runs a bit large. I may order a size smaller to compare but with this one only minor alterations would be needed. I will need to have it shortened but that's normal for me as I'm only 5'3". I was concerned about the sparkles as so many other reviews complained about shedding, but I haven't had any issue at all. Right out of the box all the sparkle and shine has stayed put without any shedding at all. Shipping was fast. Received my order in 3 days.

Loved it. Bought it in 2 sizes then the bride decided she didnt want the mothers to wear gowns so back it went.

This is a beautiful classic gown. I loved the fit….I wear a size 12 but ordered both 10 and 12. The 12 fit perfectly. It was very comfortable. Very beautiful with just enough subtle sparkle. Ultimately I returned both because it was a little dressier than I wanted to be ….it would be perfect for mother of the bride or groom…..I was just a guest.

I feel like it should be explained that the dress is for someone who is at least 6 ft. tall. At first I ordered a 20Plus. It was very huge, so I asked for 3 sizes smaller. a 14Plus fit perfectly except I had to take it to a tailor shop and pay $50 to have them cut off 8 inches and hem it. I guess I should have just sent it back but it is a beautiful dress. I don't sew anymore as I am legally blind, so couldn't do it myself. The dress is lovely, though

I wasn’t sure how to get out the wrinkles, no dry washing, no ironing and no steaming.It was very comfortable

I ordered a 14P and this 12P. The 14P was more comfortable. The dress is still too long for me even though it is a petite. I got it for a wedding and I got many compliments. I have a hard time finding a dress that works with my body shape and this works!

I ordered several sizes from a size 14 to a size 18 , as I am a high street 16 I thought I had it covered I tried on the 16 first couldn't get it over my bust then tried on the 18 but it was also tight on my bust

Excelente vestido, me quedó perfecto, cuando lo saqué de la bolsa soltaba muchos brillos pero los demás se quedaron sin problema ya adheridos en el vestido e inclusive después de la tintorería.

It was okay. Stretchy material. Jacket was nice.
