Guitar Triller 3 A New Kind of Guitar Pick, Create Natural Delay, Compressor and Tremolo Like Sounds for Guitar, Bass, Ukulele and Other String Instruments, Smokey Black

I stumbled upon a video of the drone/loop artist Noveller experimenting with one of these and immediately started desiring one. I've just received it and played around with it for a solid hour and I'm already impressed with it, although my technique still needs some work. I was able to come up with some ideas off the cuff that I quite liked. For one, I enjoyed finding a pleasing chord progression and thwacking the Triller against the strings with both stereo tremolo and stereo digital delay (with both effects roughly synced up via tap tempo)—the percussive attack of the Triller gives you a sound you can't get with a pick or your fingers alone. Lots of great possibilities in "lead" mode as well—got some cool "one man gamelan orchestra" sounds—although I haven't gotten a feel for the picking as of yet. Also lots of interesting sounds when you rub/scrape the Triller against the strings. The lightweight plastic Triller also seems to be much better as a musical implement than whatever household items you might have lying about for this purpose. I would recommend this to just about any player.

The build quality is high, and it is very easy to get started using the device. Along with an eBow and glass slide, I have recently been using the Guitar Triller for live ambient guitar looping. Previously, I was using pencils or wooden mallets from xylophones to achieve a bounced string effect. The Guitar Triller has replaced these as it is much simpler to execute single string bounces. It is a wonderful addition to my sonic toolbox as I perform, and I highly recommend the product to anyone interested interested in an easy way to get dulcimer-like tones (and more) out of the guitar.

Perhaps it's a bit early to write a review I would probably give it 3 1/2 to 4 stars . I've only had it a short time and it definitely has a learning curve. I've gotten some gadgets before that are just useless. This one is worth it. I still have a ways to go but already it's a useful device for me. I play a lot of lead but when I play rhythm I sometimes use my hand and fingers to slap and make patterns. Even out of the box it's very cool for playing rhythm patterns. I can see with a little more practice I can get other patterns like triplets. The other side can be used for individual notes and I even used it for slide. If you never played or approach the instrument this way I don't know if this would interest you. But sometimes I put on a compressor and turn the chords and riffs into more rhythmic patterns using hands. This can fatigue the hands and fingers so it's a nice relief plus you're getting a chord where the notes are played simultaneously. I think I'm going to pick up my bass and start playing again and see if it works. I can see it having value for acoustic guitar.

I bought this triller as a novelty to play around with. It does what the manufacturer claims, and it's well-built. But other than just to play around with, I'm not sure how often I'll actually use it.I played with it a couple of times when I first got it, and so did my son. But since then it has sat in our music room. Unless your playing style fits the pick's use, you're likely to do the same.

I just got my guitar triller today! First I would like to say kudos to Amazon.com! Because I was really very pleased with how quickly my order came to me from amazon. As soon as I began to play around with my new guitar triller I immediately fell in love with it. I am no expert now, but I’m really having a blast playing with it. I’ve only been playing guitar for a couple of years and it is really just a hobby of mine. But I’m finding all kinds of beautiful sounds coming from my guitar as I am using the guitar triller for the first time today. So I would definitely recommend this to anyone who plays guitar!

Fun and new tones to play with. I like the sliding effects without tearing my fingers. It takes some time getting used too. I'm sure there is more ways to use this tool of tone. Check out their YouTube channel. I'm going to get another as a back up. Too cool to lose.

This product really does deliver. It does what it says it will do and it is an interesting alternative to a pick/fingers. It will take time to learn all of the different techniques of using the Guitar Triller and sadly there's not too many video tutorials for how to use it in different contexts. Overall it is an interesting product and very affordable. This is a purchase you won't regret, so if you're not sure about this, just go ahead and get it!

Didn’t care for this device. Finger tapping the strings is a far more effective method than this device. I don’t anticipate that this piece of equipment will be a hit for most players.
