Great execution, could use more engineering
I want to start by saying this is a phenomenal product. It feels and looks very high quality. It is not easy to bend the arms, and I view that as a positive because there is no “give” at the joints when you are using the touch screen. I work in TV/film and I’ve encountered arms that are meant to hold monitors etc where you don’t tighten anything to get the monitor in position and they often have a lot of “give” and loosen over time. Usually they have an exposed allen bolt that you can tighten, but they always end up loosening unless you use locktite. This arm feels like it will NOT loosen over time. That said, I would pay twice as much if it had a few more thought-out features:1. Wireless charging of iPad: the official iPad keyboard case allows you to charge your iPad wirelessly if the keyboard is plugged into power. It would be much more elegant if this had power running through the arm to the wireless contact points for the iPad. Maybe even with a swappable iPad mount to account for future or different sized iPad models. I just run my USB-C cable through the arm and it’s fine, but there is no hiding the cable, sadly, so it doesn’t look as clean as it could.2. I wish there was a better mechanism for the rotation of the iPad. Maybe some kind of ball joint that had an ergonomic locking element (not twist tighten). Right now it just rotates on one axis and hinges on the other two so it can be awkward to position it or make micro adjustments. The Y axis joint is easy to adjust, same for the rotation. But the X axis is stiff like the main joints, so having to use force to get it where you want it can be awkward with an iPad attached only by magnets. A locking ball joint would solve all of these issues and would be easier for my brain to angle it how I want it quickly.3. I wish the 3rd joint from the base (and/or the 2nd joint) could rotate at the joint. The whole arm rotates 360 degrees at the base, which is great. But you can’t really have the arm extending away from the viewer/user at the base, and then angle the rest of the arm in a different direction. Use cases would be angling the arm around desk obstacles, or mounting it to a chair or nightstand, extended away from viewer, and angling it to the left or right so that the screen is directly in front of them. This one seems like the easiest to implement, and the most crucial. You can find work arounds based on where you place it, but since it has a clamp style mount, sometimes there isn’t a good place to clamp it in your space where extending it in a straight line from the base is ideal.I wouldn’t be writing all this of I didn’t love it though. I’m just hoping this kind of feedback catches on and gets back to some engineer who can improve it. I’ve attached this permanently to a little cart that I use around the house, office, workshop, and in bed for watching shows/videos, playing games, browsing the internet, and general productivity. This thing is PERFECT for carts since it solves some aforementioned positioning issues with the design, quick release thanks to magnets, keeps cart free for anything else you use the cart for. Great for anyone, but I know TV/film best so I’ll say it’s great for camera or audio carts, since iPads can be used with such a variety of workflows.I’m in love, and hoping for a v2.0 sometime in the future. For now though, it’s perfect.

Solid iPad Pro Stand
I waited a while before finally picking one of these stands up, and my only regret is that I didn't pick it up sooner.Design:- Great looking- Very sturdy, solid metal- Hinges are solid but not too difficult to re-adjust when desired (never feel the iPad is going to sag due to the weight)Ease of Use:- Going between this stand and my keyboard case is incredibly quick and seamless. The magnets are easy to line up and there's enough space around the back edges of the iPad for your hands to get a solid grasp while placing or removing from the stand.- The stand feels solid while using your iPad even from a distance. Very little shake for most any actions, and easy to rotate and adjust as neededConvenience:- This stand has been incredibly convenient for me to be able to use my iPad to multi-task while I'm at my desk (playing videos in the background, Facetime calls, extending my computer display, etc.)- Since this can be mounted to the side and does not need to rest on your desk surface itself, you can still maintain usable space underneath (which is greatly appreciated)

Definitely stiff, but holds VERY well
I waited awhile to review this to get a fair amount of use with it before I did. Here are my thought after a month or so: I have shopped around on some iPad mounts. I have had my eye on this one for awhile but wasn’t sure I wanted to spend the money. But I am glad I caught it on a sale and snagged it for a slightly cheaper price. So far it’s been worth the money! Love the magnetic plate! Makes it SO easy to attach/detach my iPad. Far superior to the tension grip mounts I’ve used. Like others have said, the arm is very stiff and can take a lot to maneuver it into the position you want. BUT I think that can be a good thing. Depending on how you’re using the iPad, having that stiffness in the mount is needed. I do a lot of writing and digital art on my iPad, and when I need to lean on the iPad a bit or push a little harder, I find that this mount doesn’t budge and definitely doesn’t sag or start to sink. I think that’s because of how stiff the arm is. The only thing I think I would change would be making it possible to tighten/loosen the joints for maneuverability. Other tablet and monitor mounts I have used/still use had a Philips head or hex notch in the joints, so you could tighten them if they got loose over time, but when you wanted to change the position of the arm, you could loosen it slightly and it move way smoother. I was somewhat surprised when I saw this mount didn’t have capability. But I don’t really need to move it around too much, so that’s not the biggest issue for me. I will definitely continue to use it and will update after some more time to see how it’s holding up (if I remember…no promises).

Not Worth it!
This is absolutely not worth it. For it's outrageous price it doesn't have good articulation. the rubber on the clamp has already come off. The magnet is worthless to me. It is only meant for the iPad with no case. So no lightweight portable metal touch screens. it also doesn't hold much weight so when I try to put the arm all the way up it wont hold. The color is nice and matches my aesthetic. and it hold up well i now use it for my lightweight screen which i attached with some gummy double sided tape. Also the Magnet does not cover that entire plate just the center.
