Treasure Island (Alma Junior Classics)

The tale of Treasure Island is a great one. It's complex and nuanced and very exciting! Also, this printing is really good. The layout is clear, the language is original, it is easy to read. If you are looking for a copy that you can actually read - this is your book.

Not a review of the book, which was good, but the printing of this edition. Nice text and illustrations beginning each chapter, but the binding is too tight so it takes more effort than it shouldn’t to hold this book pen while reading.

I decided to take this book on holiday as it is one I haven't read and think I should. It is quite hard going as it was written over 100 years ago and contains some words I am not familiar with, however they are translated at the back of the book. I am still reading it, wouldn't call it gripping, but it is worth a read.

Great classic story. Language a bit challenging for a 9 yr old - but I guess thats the point!

If you haven’t read it then do so. It’s a child’s adventure story but they made kids different in days gone by so an adult can happily enjoy the story.
