C.C.R : The Concert ( 40th Anniversary Edition )
After having seen John Fogerty : Long Road Home Live in Concert on my Satellite TV singing classics I grew up listening to now building up my CCR collection starting with The Concert : John Fogerty lead guitar , vocals & harp - Tom Fogerty rhythm guitar & backing vocals , Stu Cook bass & backing vocals , Dough Clifford drums was their second live Album recorded at the Oakland Coliseum January 31 , 1970 and released October 1980 Achieving Gold .Singing and playing on 14 great tracks : Born on the Bayou 5:14 - Green River 3:00 - Tombstone Shadow 4:06 - Don't Look Now 2:25 - Travelin' Band 2:17 - Who'll Stop The Rain 2:31 - Bad Moon Rising 2:16 - Proud Mary 3:09 - Fortunate Son 2:22 - Commotion 2:36 - TheMidnight Special 3:48 - The Night Time is the Right Time 3:29 - Down on the Corner 2:44 and Keep on Chooglin' 9:10 .Not a bad recorded Album with plenty of bass and John Fogerty's great vocals playing guitar on 14 songs and 49 minutes long and the only let down with this live concert isn't long enough and according to the CD case not all songs match with my computer meaning some songs on the CD case show longer length of time , not by much though , I heard better recorded studio 40th anniversary Albums with more great songs how ever I still like this live Album enough to rate it a four and half for the great music .

Near or far, you can always rely on good CCR!
THIS here very live recording is incredibly special because it’s the very first concert that my mother went to! I gave her this cd as a gift and she loved it.CCR plays a fun, priceless time in both our music memories. I even live “right across the Bay”, in San Francisco, from this recording’s venue to this day.I highly recommend this purchase for ANY fan of timeless classic rock n’ roll!

Back to a time when the music mattered
Never say never, I know, but it's a heartbreaking shame that the surviving members of CCR will never play together again. This killer concert takes me back to another CCR show, one my friends and I caught at Madison Square Garden in 1970. Openers were Wilbert Harrison and Booker T and the MGs, with CCR headlining in all their raging youthful glory. Very similar set list to this cd, as I recall, and it was a no nonsense, all killer, no filler kind of concert. Great performances. Great songs. Great fun from a time when the music mattered.

Just a great band
Growing up with this band it is sometimes easy to forget just how good these guys were and how much influence they had on music in their day. This is a very good cd, good song selection, and excellent sound quality. "Keep on Chooglin' " is so good on this cd. I only wish the band would have expanded more of their material like they did with this song.

Great live recording!!
CCR never dies and/or fades away. Purchase this LP and remind yourself of just how grand this band really was. They, for me, captured the rock and roll early expansive years and made not only great music but supplied lyrics capturing the waves of change sweeping the U.S. and the world. Buy "The Concert" and transport yourself back to a more hopeful time!
