healthE - Dimethicone 5% Cream - Active Skin Protectant Barrier Against Irritating Substances (500ml Pump Bottle)

Super happy with this product so far. I have long been aware of Dimethicone's properties that benefit the skin in numerous ways. This includes aiding in wound care and scar management. I was seeking a product with 5% dimethicone that would also form a barrier to help my new scar heal well. The surgeon used a glue I was highly allergic to in closing up the neck from a thyroidectomy. Due to the allergic reaction, the scar has stayed red and raised. This is forming a nice barrier to keep the skin soft and will hopefully help me to manage this scar's healing effectively. Also great as an all over body lotion. Leaves a super sleek and hydrated feel. Perfect for anti-wrinkle use as well. I have been using Vaniply, which I also love, for years, which has 2% Dimethicone (and no parabens), but does not form a barrier quite like this product. At age 49, not a single wrinkle in sight and baby soft skin. Super excited to find this product. Great value. The only difference that would make this formulation better is if the manufacturer replaced the parabens with silica dimethyl silyate or another preservative that is paraben free. However the MSDS shows the parabens in this are 0.2% for methylparaben and 0.1% for propylparaben, so I am ok using it on my skin. With 5% Dimethicone it is the most effective product I have found. Highly recommend! Would also use it to prevent diaper rashes, etc, as mentioned in the product info.

My skin has gotten so dry dry dry and have had a hard time finding a lotion that works. This has helped a lot. I would buy it again.
