The Do-Over

This was such a good read, it was fun and fluffy, there is hints at a bit of spice but overall is very friendly. Very much reminded me of an early 2000's romcom and I had so much fun reading it. Definitely recommend - I legit squealed with happiness at the ending

Cute wholesome and sweet. Really enjoyable with a time loop premise. These books are very feel good books without being over the top cheesy.

A little nervous going into this one just because I’d read a Lynn Painter book before and really wasn’t a fan, but wanted to give another one a go and I’m so glad I did because I absolutely loved this one. It was such a light easy read. It had me laughing out loud many times. I loved reading the replayed days and see Emilie change little things. I adored Nick, it was adorable right from the start. I enjoyed seeing the growth with Emilie herself as well as with the people around her. I do wish it had a little bit more of Nick and Emilie together but other than that I absolutely loved it and I can’t wait to read some more of Lynns books 😍

Bought for my daughter who said it was a good read & has bought others now from this author.

Cute read

The story was a classic Groundhog Day romance but it was still fun to read. The romance was cute and the character arc was fun to root for too.

Encore un Lynn Painter, je suis une grande adepte des écrits de cette autrice.Cette romance est très mignonne encore une fois, une romance ado qui m’a énormément plu.Je suis une grande adepte des romance ado comme celle-ci, ce sont des romances chill, toutes douces et cocooning je trouve.

This book is about the 16 year old Emilie, who wants to have the perfect Valentines Day.And the charming yet gloomy looking Nick, who couldn't care less about this day.But when they meet each other, and in some ridiculous situations at that, both are not so sure if their perception about this day is the right one.I loved these two MCs. They are acting like their age (+ life experience), but they are still reasonable about their behaviour towards others.For example, Em sees her boyfriend kissing another girl, Macy. At sixteen, you think it's the worst feeling ever, because how dare he and what not. The consideration, if he doesn't kiss her in this time loop, then it didn't happen, is correct but futile. It shows that she is still just sixteen and learning about what she wants in life. Because you can think like that and if you happy with it, be my guest. But in my opinion, if you have to actively stop your boyfriend from kissing another girl, he doesn't deserve your time.So she deals with it but accordingly to a teenager.In the beginning I had some hesitation because of her age, because usually I like my FMCs a little bit older. More in the New Adult Genre but Emilie's age is not too pronounced and doesn't slip into childish.Nick is a charming young boy, who doesn't care about Valentines Day. He sees Em like she really is and doesn't entertain her antics about a 'perfect' day and leads her more to an 'happy' day.But read it for yourself and find out what I mean by that 😉This book has charme, quip and an adorable lovestory.So all in all 5 stars.
