Good bag. would recommend
The build quality of this product is good. Upon delivery I looked this thing over top to bottom and inside out looking for things to nitpick. I really couldn't find much. The pockets are all in the right places for me, makes organizing my gear simple. The rod holders work well and allow for the rods to be strapped in tight. The bottle holder works best with a bottle that is necked down near the top. otherwise round bottles have a tendency to slip if the bag were to be turned over. This is only an issue for me in the event that i'm travelling via my atv to the trout hole. originally i had thought that this would be an early season trout item only, but after using it i quickly realized i'll be using it a whole lot more. my quick grab and go bag for any trip from the kayak to the bass boat. There are 4 trays inside, which leaves plenty of room for lunch. The trays are a common size and i had extra lying around so i stuffed it full and could carry more tackle than i could actually use in a day. The shoulder straps and the area that rests against your back are both padded and comfortable. The one thing that i can't find a practical use for is the strap that goes across your chest, from one shoulder strap to the other. i am a bigger chested guy and i don't like that strap. I can see where a female may not especially care for that strap either. i think it should be relocated as a waist strap or eliminated altogether. I really like this item though and am glad it is in my collection of gear. Would recommend. p.s. I gave 3 stars for water resistance only because i really didn't have the opportunity to test it in the rain, but it is obvious to me that the materials it is made from, and the stowable drybag it is equipped with will both do the job to keep it dry.

Lots of Space, appears to be well built
So far this pack has been everything I was looking for, unfortunately it's November in Indiana, so I will update later once I have more input. Unit appears to be built well, the zippers appear resilient. Ample storage space.

Exactly what I wanted
This is exactly what I needed. I had several small tackle bags but wanted something larger I could condense all into. I often fish for whatever is biting so I like to have tackle for bass, pike, panfish and catfish all readily accessible. The smaller bags I would have to bring several but this is big enough I can bring everything in one.The bag its self is well thought out and I can’t find something I don’t like. The fabric is heavy duty with a diamond weave pattern I assume for strength and will definitely last for many years. The zippers are tough a glide easily and there are extra pulls shipped with the bag. It has a top padded and felt line compartment for your fishing glasses as well as a rain cover that stores in its own integrated pocket. It even has a pocket to carry a large water bottle or maybe a can of bug spray. It includes the 4 plastic boxes that fit in the bottom securely. The top section has a folio that can be used for organizing bags of worms or other soft baits and there is plenty of room behind the folio for other boxes. Finally, although it isn’t about the functionality of the bag there is an American flag patch on the side that is attached with Velcro and completely removable. I mention it because some may like it and some may not want on the side of their fishing bag so they can remove it if they like. I will be keeping mine on. I do appreciate that it has all 50 stars and 13 stripes like a flag should. Not all manufactures these days give the proper respect to our flag and cut corners reducing the number of stars or stripes to make it cheaper and quicker. I appreciate this one took the time to do it right.

Organizes Things Very Well
***UPDATE*** After the first 2 uses, the plastic or vinyl organizer in the upper compartment has come apart at one of the seams. It still organizes my things, but kind of unfortunate that the plastic welds/seams came apart. Still a pretty decent bag. We will see how many more trips this thing can manage***I bought this as a way to carry and keep my tackle organized. I'm a bank and rental boat fisherman. The 4 tackle boxes hold plenty of terminal tackle and hard baits. I honestly could not fill them. I have 3 of the 4 partially filled and neatly organized. I like that it has a dedicated pouch for the boxes so that they aren't just moving around inside of a bigger bag. The upper partition (which can be turned into one giant pouch by removing a divider, seems to be built as a soft plastic organizer. It has little vinyl pockets that fit soft plastic pouches. I am able to better organize my soft plastics by types now. Senkos together, drop shot baits together, creatures, swim, ned rig baits, nicely divided. One thing that I currently carry is one of Kast King's fish grippers. It is quite large and there isn't really a good spot to fit it in the bag. So luckily the worm compartment has enough space in the back for me to just throw it in there. The side pockets are pretty clutch. I have my sunblock and spf lip balm in one of the upper side pockets. Bottom pockets hold scissors, extra line, scent stick. The sunglass pocket is a decent size. Kind of wish the sunglass pocket had some sort of hard liner, because it's just a pocket with soft anti-scratch material. One other gripe I have is that the straps sit kind of weird on me. But that is probably attributed to my body shape (round lol).Otherwise, this seems like a sturdy, well designed bag. No more sifting through tackle. I was previously using a PLANO B-SERIES 3700 tackle bag. Though it was quite large and held a lot of things, it just was not organized enough, even with tackle boxes and I'd constantly be losing things in all the dark spaces.

Does everything I need
I love this backpack, got it for shore fishing and to hold my rods while I bike, came with the boxes an everything. Only issue is if you don't have all 4 boxes in the back it will sag down and can be uncomfortable. Lots of room for tool storage, water bottle, snacks, bug spray, whatever you need. The colours suck and its expensive but it is what it is, there are not many fishing backpacks that have all the features this one does.

The PVC pockets was torn apart before even going on the first fishing trip
The PVC pockets was torn apart before even going on the first fishing trip. I had to buy 2 more tackle boxes and keep my worms on top of the 4 tackle boxes that come with the backpack. Overall quality is good but I didn't expect the PVC pockets to tear up that fast. I contacted the Kastking customer service and they offered a refund. So overall still a good product and great customer seevice.
