Good phone
This is probably my fourth set of Panasonic DECT phones: they are well made and perfect for my use. I like this fairly high-end model because it has a sneaky headphone socket which is perfect for listening to long conference calls with half an ear whilst doing other stuff. The other thing I really like is voice announcing - when a call comes in, it says "Call from Rishi Sunak" (or whoever, as long as you have them in your phone book, and have the caller id service) - so useful. My observation from owning them is that they seem to have a predetermined life span. The phones just all decide to die, sometimes within days of each other. Put the phone on its cradle, and it will start chirping. Change the batteries, no difference, change the cradle, no difference. The handset itself will die after maybe 8-10 years. Good for Panasonic sales.I find the handset volume more than adequate - and similar to previous versions - but I would say that it wouldn't do any harm if they could go a bit louder. The colour screen doesn't do much for you other than prettification - you can't e.g. watch movies on it. But it is pretty.A phone like this shouldn't need a manual, and indeed you don't get much of a manual with it, but you get a link where you can download one. Again my observation is that they seem to favour short codes in the manual (e.g. press #137 to do this). Might be okay in the Panasonic design department, but for the casual user, they're not going to want to fill their brain with short codes. To be fair, almost everything can be done through the phone menus, but (at least from reading the manual) there's a few things that require a short code e.g. "deregistering a handset", so you need to keep that downloaded manual handy.A few bells & whistles over my last set of phones (e.g. voicemail can be set to call a number if a message is left), but nothing really earth-shattering.The handsets curve upwards slightly at the bottom, which probably improves speech pick-up, but means they don't fit in the old cradles, and it gives them a slightly imbalanced look. One out of my 5 old handsets is still working (so far), and it is easy to register it with the new system; it is fairly compatible - but you can't access the phone book on the new system. And likewise there's no way to copy the old phone book on to the new system (I called Panasonic to check) - so be prepared for a morning of button pressing when setting it up.In short - a very good phone, but some features could be a little more user-friendly, and don't expect it to work forever.

No more cold callers!
These were bought as my old BT number blocking phones were not stopping cold callers after being switched over to Virgin VOIP. All the blocked numbers were ‘live’ again!I can definitely say these phones do not allow withheld, or no number calls through. I still need to block number spoofing calls, which is easy, overall they are really good. The only problem is the sound isn’t too good, which I read in reviews, but even my husband, who is slightly deaf, can understand what is being said. He finds it best to put it on speaker phone. It was a little tricky to input into the phone book, but with the help of the small manual & time, was managed. It is so good to not have to keep fending off cold (& scam) callers again. The price was reasonable for 4 phones & answer phone, but worth it for peace of mind. Delivery was quick & comms from seller also good

Good product
These phones were to replace some other Panasonic phones that we have had for years. It was good that they had all the same codes to do things like set an alarm. I did like that you only had to put the phone number into the address book on the phone and it appeared on all four phones. The base does seem a little bit lighter than the old set, but it doe seem to be a bit smaller on the base, therefore not taking up as much space. So far they are very good.
