Our cat is getting older and that seems to have made her messier, so I started reviewing options for easier cleaning around the food and water. I've been a very happy customer of Petfusion's silicone litter mat, so I decided to give this food mat a try.I've been very satisfied with the results, as the mat does a great job of containing water spills and bits of food. Cleanup couldn't be simpler, just pick the mat up and dump debris into the trash, mop up spills with a towel, or run the whole thing under the faucet to wash. Simple and effective.My only complaint is that I wish they offered it in a smaller size. I got the smallest available, which still holds two regular cat-sized pet bowls plus a small treat dish with a lot of space left over. Not really a big deal, but our feeding area is such that a little bit smaller mat would have been nice.Really a solid choice for a pet mat if you want easy cleanup and spill containment. Works great and cleans up very easy. I'd buy it again.

You will NOT be disappointed with this purchase. I have two handicapped cats, and one of them has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which means he's shakes and has tremors all the time. Eating is quite difficult for him, as he is unstable and he slips on the floor. I have turned the mat the other way, meaning that I have his bowls on the short end of the mat. He can then stand on the longer part of this mat, have traction, and eat without falling over or sliding. Cleaning it is so easy, and my Ziggy can make quite a mess. I basically shake it off outside and wipe with a damp paper towel. This mat is heavy duty, not cheap at all. I was impressed. It has a small lip around the edge if it in case the water goes over, it won't go all over the floor. I got the big mat 33 inches and it fits my cat nicely....it goes sideways like I said and there is room to spare at the other end. There are some little bumps on the mat for traction (on the right side) and I thought this might pose a problem with him stepping on them and not liking it. But no, he was totally fine with it.

The two things missing from the product description are the actual dimensions of the 2 mat sizes offered and the fact that this mat is not ridgid but so rubbery and supple that it can be rolled up which might be a good for traveling with it but for everyday use it is not good when you want to get the mat full of food and water droppings to the sink without spilling anything.. You have to grasp the sides and shake slightly until the drippings an droppings puddle in the middle and then carefully walk to the sink without swinging or tipping it. (That works for me so far so I'm keeping it.) The large size seems better for use with medium to large size dog bowls and I feel that I should have ordered the small sized mat for my kitty sized 2 food bowls and 1 water bowl. The quality is excellent and exactly as advertised with a nice lip to hold the wet and dry spills, a water proof non-slip surface on both sides, a very washable surface, and a nice design and grey color. It might have helped me when ordering to see pictures of dogs and their 3 bowls (dry food, wet food, and water using the large mat and kitties with their 3 smaller bowls using the smaller mat.

Exactly what I was looking for. I needed a tray to catch my Great Dane’s drool when drinking. We have tried bathroom rugs, metal oil trays, towels, etc... this is by far the most aesthetically appealing, sanitary option I have tried. I am so happy with the size. It’s ridiculously hard to find a tray big enough to accommodate an extra large feeder. The tray does not absorb, which is what you want when it comes to drool. It doesn’t slip, and it’s easy to clean. The little lip keeps excess drool from running onto the floor. I know my dog is so gross. Now that I know what a great product this is, I’m upgrading my cat’s setup as well. It’s dishwasher safe to top it off, which will be useful for the cat tray, but I’m not sure the extra large tray will fit in the dishwasher, though it is flexible.

I now own two of these mats, they're perfectly sized for their locations, and for my small dogs. They don't slide around on the floors, the flexible silicone makes for very easy cleaning in the sink, and the raised lip contains the frequent water splats from one, rather sloppy, drinker. A great purchase, worth every penny!

I love these mats! They arrive with no smell and no manufacturing reside. (I wash anyway for safety.) They're durable and hold up like new over time. I've had for over 3 years. I just bought another one. Same great quality. I was happily surprised as quality to get worse everywhere. These mats are great! They're very attractive too! All of mine are grey. I love Pet Fusion. (No, I am not affiliated with this company. I'm just ecstatic at the consistency of great quality. :-) )

Great product that looks sharp too! I purchased the X-Large waterproof dog food mat to go with the PetFusion Elevated Dog Bowls in Premium Anodized Aluminum 8" elevated made by the same company.. I am very happy so far with this product. I like the sleek lines of this product. It's not big and bulky in height, yet does have a lip around it to contain anything wet that spills on it. It appears to be well made and and can easily be wiped down with a wipe or washcloth after the dog eats. As a set, this works well because the mat is big enough to have room when the dog eats out of the elevated bowls to catch the food that falls onto it. I just received this product and will update after my dog has used it for a while. I purchased the grey color and for the elevated dog bowls, I choose the metallic grey. They look sharp as a set.

This large very well made pet mat is a great solution to a cat who likes to drag his food off the plate and an owner who sometimes misses the dish. Cat likes to stand front paws on it and sit on it waiting for meatyblob. It has a bobbly slightly gripping surface so plates don't move around and a lip so if water gets spilt it is no issue.Altogether a great purchase: it is stylish and super easy to clean just run it under a hot tap and give it a wipe with scrubber. It drip drys quickly. Me and Cat are very happy.

Easy to clean and a good size. Came with a crease in it from being folded but it went away after about a week of laying flat. The ridges on the edges are nice too to catch water from running off.

I'm using this silicone mat for 2 Siberian cats. So far, I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend it. For reference, I bought the extra large size, and it is perfect for my uses.PROS:- The raised edges all around the outside keep crumbs and, more importantly, water, off of the floor. My boy cat loves splashing around in his water bowl, and water can go everywhere. I have laminate wood floors that have been damaged by his splashing before. This mat keeps everything nice and dry and I no longer worry about water getting underneath it from overflowing over the edges.- The silicone is completely waterproof. My old mat SEEMED waterproof but, as I found out later (too late), water had been seeping through it and pooling onto my wood floors below. This mat, however, is clearly 100% waterproof and I don't have to worry about how long water sits on top of it. I can either easily wipe it off, or it will evaporate.- The silicone is much healthier and doesn't trap old food or bacteria that could make my cats sick. My old mat had grooves and a textured, mesh-like surface on the top, and bits of canned food that spilled would sometimes get stuck into these grooves and was impossible to fully clean. That led to bad smells, and was unhealthy for both my cats and I. This silicone mat, on the other hand, is so easy to wipe clean. There are no grooves or textures that trap anything, so cleaning is as easy as running a cloth or paper towel over it with some all-purpose cleaner, or even taking the whole thing and rinsing it in the sink. Easy peasy.CONS:- My main gripe with this is that the back edge is not straight. I have this placed against a wall, and ideally I would love for the edge of the mat to be flush against the wall so that nothing can stray back there (and for full protection). However, the mat is curved inwards on the longest edges, which means there is a gap where the middle of the mat does not reach the wall. I think this was done purely to create a "cool aesthetic design" and has no functional purpose. It would be better if the edges (or at least that back edge) was just straight.Overall, I'm very pleased with this mat and glad I purchased. It keeps my floors safe and my cats have no problem standing on it. It also has no plastic smell, even when brand new, so nothing to put my cats off.
