Jury's still out
I bought this as a bird repellent for my tomato plants. I foolishly assumed that the flapping and screaming of the bird would be triggered by movement. Wrong. With batteries, it flaps and screams, without pause, until you turn it off. Hoping a visual of it will be "show of force" enough to scare off tomato eating birds. I did manage to get a video of it moving with the wind and hoping that movement will suffice.

kids toy, not a decoy
this is not a real bird deterrent. it is a cheap kids toy. it may still work but is under sized for the hawk it is supposed to simulate. I'm using it with a sonic bird chaser but alone I don't have much faith.
