Great pasta!
This is a very fancy pasta and I, of course, went out of my way to prepare it in a non-fancy way. I wanted to try it and we had all of the ingredients to make Ziti, so I swapped these with our usual Ziti noodles. They have a great flavor and texture to them. We prepared them as we usually prepare our pastas. A bit of oil in the water to prevent heavy sticking and also a bit of salt, to give them a bit more flavor. The noodles themselves are large, but not super thick, if that makes sense. They don't soak in too much sauce from the dish, but rather compliment the sauce. I really enjoyed them and look forward to having them again in different pasta dishes.

Solid, big pasta
I'm a fan of artisanal big- sized pasta, so these immediately appealed to me. Cooking them a bit past al dente (16 minutes vs. the 12 suggested), they swell up a bit more, to the point that a single rigatoni piece is just about too large for a bite. The taste is, well, pasta- like, which is to say I cannot distinguish extra flavor compared to cheaper brands. But I did notice that the sauce (tomato based or Alfredo) clings to this product quite well, the texture and density are great, and again there is the size and artisanal aspect. All of which make for a special meal in my book.I also like that while this product is of course on the expensive side, it's also sold in a 12- pack which basically HALVES the price per pound and is a great deal compared to in- store offerings of similar products where I live.

Big Pasta!
I'm no pasta connoisseur but I thought this was pretty good pasta. I made Rigatoni el Segreto (a recipe I found on AllRecipes) using 1/2 a box of this Marulo product. It was delicious and enough to feed my husband and I with plenty leftover. This product is imported from Italy and is beautifully packaged (metallic gold lining and lift top box). Provided it withstands transit, it would make a fine gift as is. Better yet, team it with some nice sauce, parm, bread, a bottle of wine and some checkered napkins for a "to die for" gift basket.

Tasty Pasta, Very Large Shape (Rigatoni)
The flavor on this was great and the packaging was superb, seemed extremely high-end. (I know that's strange, but look at the pics, the box is very fancy.) The pasta itself had a high quality look at feel, it had a "rough" exterior which is preferable to hold the sauce and is indicative of high quality processing. (Cheap grocery store pasta often uses a process that produces smooth pasta which doesn't hold sauce well.) These are extremely large rigatoni, which is nice to look at and tasted very good, but did have a couple of negatives. The downsides of the pasta being so large and thick is that the cooking time was very long, even to get to al dente. Even after 20 min of boiling it was only just barely past "still crunchy." Also, since the individual pieces are large and thick, even at the al dente stage the pasta sort of collapses in on itself. Which is fine and expected, but it might not be the look you're going for when you serve it/eat it. Otherwise it was great and I enjoyed it.

Excellent Quality Pasta
This pasta comes in a box with a clear window so you can see the quality of the product inside. I got the rigatoni, which is a large, slightly curved, tubular pasta. This pasta takes a little longer to cook than the usual supermarket pasta. It also doesn't make the water cloudy and starchy during cooking. When it's done, you get an al dente texture and great wheat taste. The texture helps pasta sauce to cling to each bite for better taste. This pasta would look nice in a gift basket. The quality makes it worth the higher price.

Robust pasta!
This is a hearty and strong pasta! It arrived completely intact with not a single chipped, cracked, or broken piece. Even after cooking, the same thing-no splits, rips, or chips in a single piece of the pasta. It’s bigger, thicker, and denser than typical store bought rigatoni. I also noticed that it held the sauce better than store bought pasta which is smoother and more slippery. Cooking time was longer than suggested. It needed about 16 minutes to completely cook. The price is a little high and would prohibit every day use for most people, but for a special treat or a special occasion, it is worth the splurge.

What a treat!
Pasta is one of those art forms where the bar can be very low but true mastery can be hard to imagine until you've had itI've been watching a lot of Vincenzo's Plate videos lately so I made sure not to overcook this rigatoni, and added some of the pasta water back with the parmigiano and tomato sauce I served this withOne thing though, the listing makes it sound like the box is something special, well it's pretty thin paper board and got dinged up pretty badly in transit - the pasta was fine though because it's in a clear plastic bag inside the box
