Good for required reading!
I bought this book as a requirement for my class. I actually do enjoy the way the author writes the book. It's easy to read and the information is very informative! Most questions you have about how to make the most of a degree in clinical mental health counseling are answered in this book!!

Very dry but gets the job done
This book gets the job done if you are getting it for a class. It has a lot of information in it about the field but I found it incredibly dry to read. I also think the font of the book and the way the paragraphs are spaced our makes it tedious on your eyes and the overall lay out of the book is bland. Luckily, the chapters are not that long and the author is direct and to the point.

Good book, interesting read
Surprisingly, I found this book to be anything but dry. The chapters were short and held my attention. The writing style is user friendly and straightforward. This book almost covered my entire Masters degree in a nutshell and was used as my "Intro to Community Counseling" class.

One of the best textbooks I've ever read
One of the best textbooks I've ever read! It reads easily and still manages to convey a lot of information.I bought it for my Foundations of Counseling graduate course and found it very helpful. It is well written and something that I intend to keep on my shelves for licensure and reference.

Another great buy
Another school book for less money and I was able to get trade it in for credit. It's the perfect solution for someone who may not want to keep every textbook from college.
