superb flavours..great recipe card

I purchased this 08 May 2024 as a gift for a friend. I just gave it to him last week and he informed me that the expiry date is end of June 2024. I find this dissapointing that the seller sent this with such a short expiry date. For dried herbs and spices you would expect a long date. I have tried to contact the seller directly but I don't appear to have the option to do that. The item is lovely, good quality and great packaging but I'm annoyed at how short the expiry date is and feel a bit ripped off

As a South African living in the UK, always nice to have a flavour of home - looking forward to sampling them all.

Generally, good product with nice packaging and range prices. Main issue is that there is a best before date of May 2024, so only 2months left. Spices can last longer but the label showed it was created May 2022 - so nearly two years sat on a shelf and perhaps less pungent now than should be.

This is a lovely kit. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes, so I was excited to order this.The spices are lovely, they have a good fragrance and are a good size to make two meals of each recipe. Have tried the Kenyan curry and the Cape Malay Bobotie so far and they were both absolutely delicious and easy to make.My only one criticism is that the recipe book needs looking at, some of the ingredients are missing but mentioned in the method so we had to guess the quantity.

We have had other things from this same company so had no hesitation with this.Nicely packaged and would make a nice present.All the family love curries and exotic recipes in general s owe will have no problem finding recipes for these spiced blends. The box contains four spice blends normally associated with East African cooking.The blends are Curry powder, East African curry spice, Cape Malay curry spice, Ras El Hanout and Baharat.Suitable for vegetarians.

Good quality big tubs of spice mixes. We use Ras el Hanout and Baharat regularly for marinating meat and these tubs are just as good or even better than anything I've bought from a supermarket before.Decent sized tubs and they stack easily in a cupboard so easy to store.I think this set would make a good gift for a foodie wanting to try new tastes and flavours.
