I don't suppose that wheels made largely out of plastic will ever be ... sturdy & extremely long lived. However: These were not expensive – and not at all, compared to 'the new chair'.

Lange blieb mein Bürostuhl in der Ecke stehen, weil sich die Rollenlaufflaechen auflösten. Dann sah ich, dass man die Rollen austauschen kann mit nur einem Klick.Deshalb einen guten Stuhl bloß nicht wegwerfen. Nachträglich eingesetzte Rollen sind qualitativ meistens besser. Echt nachhaltig!
