Far superior to the rest.
Very easy to put up as both sides can be rotated in order to attach to doorframe , the padded grips are comfortable although un-adjustable but as long as you set up the bar correctly there will be no issue. The bar did not leave marks in my doorframe and is incredibly sturdy without screws , easily able to support me for weighted pull ups, although a screw set is provided if you so wish.Aesthetically the bar is very pleasing , the bar looks and feels well made no cheap tat here. The instructions are in German but totally useless , arrows on the side of the bar more than suffice in showing how to install. On a side note , the packaging is quite simply unacceptable , the box it is delivered in could easily store one hundred bars and is a blatant example of over packaging.

Easily takes my weight, easy to put up / take down and doesn't damage the door frame.
Solid and because it can be moved up / down in the door frame, the kids love to swing on it too and they've named it 'the swingy bar'.I was surprised how sturdy it was and also it had rubber feet that stopped damage to the door frame. I am very happy with this.I originally had a pull up bar that hooked over the door frame but after a house move, the door frames at the new house are mainly for show and cannot sustain the weight. I got this and was initially dubious about whether it would stay in place but it is surprising how easy it is to put solidly in the door frame. Impressed.

OK, but depends on your door frames, nice colour, high price for what it is.
The bar istself is a nice enough product. However, this was more than twice the price of equivalent products so I had higher expectations. The paint finish is fine, but there are some cheap arrow stickers on it which was a downside. The welding of the end cups is also not that neat for a product of top of the range price bracket, but it works fine when secured with the cups.Others had claimed that the "cups" were not needed to secure this, well I guess it depends on the doorway you use. The 4 doorways I tested went as follows:1. cracked wooden frame and damaged paint when tight enough to hold 80Kg person, fell out and went flying when the tension was reduced to prevent frame damage.2. cracked second wooden doorframe and damaged paint when tight enough to hold 80Kg person.3. cracked plaster in downstairs doorframe where there were block walls, also damaged paint a little.4. shed doorframe, no paint, used cups and is solid, but I would have preferred this indoors really. This is now a permanent fixture in the shed which is not as convenient as I hoped, since when it is raining it is not ideal to use.

Nice Quality Bar
This bar is well made and feels nice and weighty. I had no reservations about really twisting the bar in tight to the door frame it felt good and solid even without using the mounts. You can use the mounts that come with the bar if you want to make a more permanent installation. I'm over 80kg and the bar doesn't move at all when secured with twist pressure alone. The hand grips are nice and comfortable when using the bar. They are however quite close together so are suited best for underhand chins. You can do pull ups to with a closer grip or put the bar in a wider door so you can move your hands further apart.I quite like the design of this bar too. It's much better than those silver shiny ones.

As a pull up bar it works great, and it's definitely had an impact on my upper body strength and stamina. However I specifically bought this product because it advertised itself as not needing to be screwed in, as I live in a rented house this was a big plus so I didn't need to fill in the holes when I move out. However the non-screw system utterly failed to work as advertised - possibly because the house has some subsidence and isn't 100% level - and I had to drill holes and screw it in after all. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions are all in German, so there has been no effort to localise it for the UK market. Not a huge problem, as it's not terribly complicated, but still a minor annoyance.

Great bar, the drill-less system works very well
This pullup bar is a great alternative to the others, it's worth the £20. You basically have a choice between bars that are like this or the systems that hook onto the top of your door jamb. Most of the 'bar-only' solutions like this one require drilling into the door frame for safety. Mine arrived in a surprisingly appropriately sized box for a change. This bar doesn't require drilling, so how does it work? The answer is quite clever, though unless you speak German you wouldn't know from the instructions. Each end of the bar has an extension rod that can extend/retract if it's spun round, on the end of these extensions are fairly thick rubber pads. To insert the bar into your door, spin the ends until the bar will just fit into the door frame - you may need to tap it a few times to get a snug fit. Try to keep both ends extended by the same amount. The idea is that both rubber pads should be in contact with the door frame. Then, you can rotate the central part of the bar which will simultaneously extend both ends of the bar into the frame. This is surprisingly effective and it really can hold a lot of weight. The caveat is obvious, but worth pointing out. You should take care which direction you do your exercises depending on what grip you use, especially if you're a heavy person. When you pull up, your hands will tend to want to rotate the bar. If this rotation is in the 'unscrewing' direction, the bar may come out of the frame. If you swap direction then the harder you pull, the more secure the bar gets. I can't speak for the weight limit; I'm nowhere near 150kg, but you can do a dead hang to test it so if the bar fails you'll drop safely.I've had no problems. One massive advantage of a bar like this is that you can easily change the height without wrecking the door frame. This means you can do plenty of other bodyweight exercises like horizontal pullups, dips or incline push ups. It's very portable, being just the bar and I would happily recommend this to anyone who wants to do pullups (and more) at home!
