Dark Angel: An Age Gap/ Father's Best Friend Romance. (The London Ruthless Series Book 1)

This is the third series I’ve read of Sadie’s and I was excited about reading this one because it’s set it in the UK.Now, it’s not that I didn’t like this as much as the LA Ruthless and New York Ruthless series, but unlike the others where I’ve flown through them and read them in a day… I have struggled a little more with this one, which surprised me.Here’s the main reason why… Samantha and her constant insecurities. She has the most incredible man who absolutely adores the bones out of her and yet she is continually pushing him away. I’m not surprised that he gets frustrated with her. She more up and down than a white-knuckle rollercoaster.What I don’t understand is that she’s always wanted him… like since she was 14 but when she has him, she won’t let her heart be won over by him. It’s not like his line of work has ever been some dark, lurking secret… it’s all she ever known him be. And she can’t even say it’s because it’s her fathers best mate. It may have taken a while, but he finally came around.What’s not to love about Gabriel. He’s gorgeous, sex-on-legs, protective, caring, loving and he is besotted with Samantha but she continues to live in the past. I understand that she’s been through an absolutely abhorrent marriage she suffered abuse beyond comprehension - but the man involved is in prison and she’s got both her father and Gabe there to protect her.She’s scared of letting anyone see her weaknesses and fights fiercely for her independence but in fighting for her freedom she’s pushing away a chance at being truly happy because she fears letting go of what happened and moving forward with her life. A life that Gabriel is only too willing and able to provide for her.There’s lots of twists and turns and I get the impression that things are about to take a turn for the worse in book 2… oh Gabriel… what have you done? Well, we know what he’s done, but how is he going to get out of this gigantic hole he’s just opened?Overall, I have loved this book. And as much as Sam annoys me, the gorgeousness that is Gabriel Sullivan most definitely makes up for it. If someone like him, walked into my life, I’d make sure I never let him go. I mean, if Gabriel told me he wasn’t letting me out of his sight, I’d quite eagerly agree and stay moulded to his side forever.For book two I just want to say to Sam… think about your own actions and the way you treated Gabe before you make this all about his mistake. You’ve made plenty and pushed him away so many times you’re lucky he came back to you at all.Well… here goes. I know this one is going to be tough at first. I’m rooting for you Gabriel… you deserve a happy ending.

The intense sexual chemistry is amazing between this couple that I read into the early hours it made my night with a nice sip of fruity wine.Gabriel is one of the most feared men in London and he's every reader's book boyfriend.The book flew my emotions all over the place as the two confide in each other of what happened over the past fourteen years, I laughed, I cried a lot, I gasped, and wow it does hit your buttons big time.Gabriel and Samantha are bonded together in trust. And he will always remain as Samantha's Angel Gabriel always.I just cannot wait for the next book in this series.

I enjoyed this book. The characters are great and the storyline was good.Samantha was a great complex character. I loved her backstory. It made you connect with her more. She had been through so much in her life, but she had come out stronger.Gabriel was brilliant. I absolutely loved him. He was a genuinely nice guy and I loved his understanding with Sam. They both jumped to conclusions too easily rather than talk to each other though. I loved watching their relationship develop. They were pretty hot together.The storyline was good. I think Sam needed to trust Gabriel more, especially knowing what him and her dad were like. She should have trusted him with Jacksons threats.Gabriel screwed up big time when they were on a break though. I just know that it will come back to bite him in the next book. The ending was far too happy for it not too.Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it.Jessreviews.co.uk

I have reviewed the second book too. It’s an awesome story and I read them so quickly because I wanted to know what happened next. It was a quick buy on a whim because I hadn’t heard of this author before but I’m so glad I did! You will not be disappointed

The first book in the London Ruthless series, Dark Angel is a dark romance and has everything, hot steamy sex & passion, brilliant storyline & gritty. This is Sadie Kincaid's debut book into Dark Romance and it won't be her last. I absolutely loved reading this and could simply not put it down. Sadie gives us a taste of the next book in this series Fallen Angel and now I can hardly wait for it to be published so I can read it. So gangland meets steamy passionate love story and it is explosive. What a page turner. I absolutely highly recommend this book, its brilliant.

All I can say is that I might have a new 'book boyfriend ' loved it!

Boy this author can write a compelling story!! Ooh this was goood!! Suspense, action, hot,hot 🔥 scenes! I loved every minute of if. Especially all of the criminal dealings the sexy Gabe was involved in, all in the name of live. He will do anything to protect Samantha. Can't wait for book two!
