Ok coffee pot
It is ok but lid tends to stick. Not a major problem ,just a bit annoying.

Recommended, but handle broke (my fault)
It worked well, no problems. Spare gasket may come in useful. No leaks. The 6 cup model makes 1 large standard cup of coffee. After 6 months the place where you put the coffee started to stick, maybe it was my fault. But I removed by force and it was OK.A few weeks later I used the black handle to open the coffee maker and the handle snapped off. It lasted 9 months! But I recommend it, but try never to unscrew the coffee maker using the black handle.

Cheap and cheerful just like me
My daughter has had one of these things for years and wondered for years how it worked and was it just for espresso. So far I have seen them used on gas, electric radiant rings, glass top (do not use on induction), petrol stoves and primus stoves. After a little research I found the answer to my dreams. No more glass jug with a plunger type coffee make. no more messy filter papers. No expensive coffee maker machine. All I needed all the way long was one of these little babies. NOTE: Available in 3 cup, 6 cup and 9 cup sizes (cups are measured in espresso size).Being a tight wad II bought one of the cheapest I could find that had decent reviews. I paid £8.67 for the aluminium looking 3 cup size model knowing it was only good enough for one decent mug of coffee at a time.It arrived 2 days after ordering and was probably the best packed item I have received. It came in a small box that only just fitted the around the manufacturer's packaging. May as well have put a postage label on the makers box and ship it like that.Following other reviewers I washed the pot out with hot soapy water and the in hot water and sodium bicarb. It says in the instructions not to fill above the valve line in the water container. I usually disregard this safety ti and fill to ½ way above it. So far so good. The metal coffee holder which sits snug on top of the water container holds more than enough coffee for one decent sized cup of coffee. I use 2 very heaped teaspoons of ground coffee but others may one more or less depending on taste. I like strong black coffee. The base (and coffee holder) screw into the top container easily but need to be fully tightened. Heating takes only a few minutes until the magic bubbling can be heard. Reminded me of the sounds just like my old percolator I use to use back in the 80's.It only takes a minute to finish brewing. Pouring is no problem once you get use to it. A few drips at first but with a little practice no drips whatsoever. Washing the machine out is a breeze but I tend to just rinse and wash out once a day.Nearly forgot: the machine comes with a spare silicone sealing ring.In summary:-A cheap percolator that comes in varying sizes that can be used on a variety of heating sources apart from not induction. Does what it is meant to do and does it well. No need to pay more for a better looking design for what will basically be the same item.Happy brewing!!

Manufacturing faults
I have now received this item twice. The first one had a manufacturing fault - which is acceptable. But which was visible to the naked eye, rendered the product unusable and dangerous and managed to get through quality control - which is not acceptable. The first one I received had a hole in the water chamber such that it leaked immediately it was filled. The leak was small so initially I assumed I had been careless in filling it. But when I placed it on the hob, and the water heated, more escaped generating hot steam which made it hard for me to turn off the hob safely. The result was a very hot vacant boiling chamber, a messy hob, and no coffee.Credit should go to Amazon for replacing the product quickly. The replacement - has no manufacturing flaws and does the job - but has a tacky feel compared to other hob top espresso makers that I have used and owned.

Coffee explosion. Not in a good way
Bought this in 2014, now I know that's a long time ago but it's just completely exploded. There's coffee everywhere. I mean everywhere. Thankfully nobody was in the room at the time. The filter part where the coffee goes separated and the whole thing blew up. Up until today though a good buy. please be careful and maybe they need replacing more often than every 6 years?

Decent coffee maker.......after some experimentation!!
Was some very mixed reviews on this, but price made me think it was worth the gamble!! 1st impressions were not good!! Leaked all over the place, but a little experimentation & it turns out I've got a pretty good coffee pot!!Stopping it leaking is just down to screwing the base on very tightly (maybe a thicker silicone gasket would solve this?) & when it comes to pouring the coffee, start to pour slowly!!I use it to make regular coffee, rather than espresso, so use less ground coffee (followed the regular instructions when I 1st got this, made 2 pots in an hour & spent the next few hours twitching!! :-D ) & it makes just about the perfect amount of coffee for a regular sized mug!! Just experiment with the amount of grinds to find your taste!!

Easy one cup coffee although called 3 cup espresso
Love my coffee maker this is called a 3cup for me this is a one cup diluted coffee add hot water/milk- good average size coffee cup used this way, but needs care whenPouring the joint between two parts drips. But fast to percolate as it’s so tiny.

Wow awesome.
At first I was hasty in making my review, I wish I had bough this in the pass before spending money on the fancy electric coffee pots and Espresso makers. You must follow the vague instructions just wash the pot in "warm soapy water." Also fill the water to the just below the Steam vent, and you'll have a great perfect cup of coffee if you like it with creamer you have to use milk. I have no complaints what so ever besides it took forever to get to me but in the end it was worth the wait. I haven't made Espresso with it yet but I sure it will be perfect. If not I'll amend this and let you know just like I'm doing now. The only sucky thing I can even complain about is the lid, it does not sit flush on the pot, so a tip pour it at the sink with the lid open. Also when you hear it stop perculating and am not sure if it's done it won't kill you to open the lid. You should get the one with the glass lid if you don't want to fool around with it on the stove
