Sister loves it.
Quite fun to paint with. Doesn't cause a mess like with traditional painting sets.

Fantastic size to take on walks with a small book.

Good Watercolours
Really good and vibrant colours for the price but the water brush is very flimsy with water leaking out of parts other than the brush end, sometimes ruining pieces.

I like the water brush as it is very compact and ...
Bought after looking at some online reviews. OK travel kit but the after shipping quite pricy. Looks cute but the paints are quite chalky and you can't replace the pans and pallet feels quite cheap. the pans are also smaller than half pans. I like the water brush as it is very compact and small - remember that it is designed to twist in the opposite direction to what you would expect. on balance, in the UK at least the small Cotman travel set would be better value with with the addition of a separate water brush, particularly as you can buy and replace the half pans and I feel that even the student grade Cotman paints are much better quality than the Koi paints

Pocket Sketch Box Koi
Very handy little box and can be carried in the handbag or small case when you see something to paint.

Pretty neat travel set.
Pretty good and I'm happy with the quality of the paint and the brush is working alright. The biggest drawback is that when you lay the box down to paint- the mixing cells are not flat. And I do not like the selections of color- but that's always a personal preference.

only one problem, but it's a big one
This set is almost great. It's good paint, it's a good size, and the folding water pen provided with it is very nice. The only problem is that the colors seem to be arranged randomly and can't be rearranged. So instead of the browns being together and the blues being together etc, they're stuck in in no apparently pattern. This problem is at its worst with the dark colors. You have to simply remember where the black is and where the pane's grey is and where the dark brown is because unless the light is very good you can't tell except by trial and error. If, like the Windsor&Newton travel kits, you could arrange the colors to suit yourself, this kit would be just about perfect.
