Camera Drone: Stable and Easy to Fly with Altitude Hold. Works with smartphone app and radio controller.
The media could not be loaded. The Eachine E52-TX is a compact quadcopter drone and radio controller, the drone has a video camera in the nose that sends a live FPV video image to a smartphone via wi-fi.Pre-summary for those too lazy to read the entire review:Its a great starter drone, very easy to fly, very stable. WI-FI Connected FPV video image is better than a lot i’ve seenSet up is simple, just insert 4 AA batteries in the controller and charge up the drones battery using its USB charge cable. Unfold the drones 4 arms and place it on a flat surface.Switch on the drone and the controller and they bind together, this is indicated when the drones lights stop flashing.Just underneath the controllers power button are the take off and land buttons, a quick press of the left button starts the drone up and it takes off and hovers, you can now fly the drone in the normal way.You can also fly this drone using the smartphone app and its virtual sticks but i did not try this, i am more comfortable using a real radio controller.Flying it is very good fun and it is very easy to do for total beginners…the altitude hold feature is very good, you are not constantly battling to keep height when making manoeuvres giving you time to get used to steering and yawing. It is very stable to fly, although it takes a while to get the trims set correctly, i had still not quite got them right as you can see in the video. You can calibrate it automatically then make fine adjustments while flying. The live video image is pretty good, the app has a virtual reality mode that works with VR glasses such as Google Cardboard, i will be trying this when some new goggles arrive this week. Its a tough little thing too, i have crashed it a few times now with no ill effect, the worse that happened is a prop came off, i put it back and up it went again. Please check out my video review, it shows the app in use as well as showing recordings made using the drones camera. Please click YES if you found my review helpful, it helps to get more items to review.

Purchased 2 for Christmas
Uncontrollable. Both crashed into the ground, never worked again. Got about 10 minutes use out of both of them. Not very sturdy for kids toys.

ihave several small drones and no problem to fly them but this one, the instuctions are useless ,when i finally worked out how to bind the quad to the remote i find no proportional throttle control, its either on the ceiling or skitting about on the floor ,the directional controls have almost no effect and trying to shut off the motors does not always work.so i scan the bar code for the wi fi control and it takes me to itunes website ,im hoping the wifi control might be better, ifind the website which shows pictures of the wi fi interface , looks promising but turns out to be an advert for the app and not dowloadable time to return this item

I'm finding it really hard to use. I am pretty sure it is a user issue rather than the device. I think I just need more practice. I haven't successfully taken off and landed yet and I have already replaced one of the blades.

Great Value. Does the job. Concentratiin required
Well built small craft length of a man's hand. Well packaged however instructions to trim flight require additional work. However after a few crashes and two broken blades later I was able to fly perfectly in control. Mobile app again is a little lacking of instruction on use. So the features it has 360 flip etc, isn't obvious how they work and what will happen exactly if instigated.

Very Impressed.
What a little cracker! We have a few quadcopters and I've been pretty useless at flying them until this one arrived. The auto take-off and landing buttons combined with the altitude hold make this a doddle to fly. Admittedly, I did manage to smash it into a cupboard and wedge it down the back of a radiator but no damage done. Once I'd gotten to grips with it it was time to go outdoors. It is affected by the wind but nothing you can't compensate for if it isn't too strong. Range was good, I'd say around 70-80 meters with no loss of control. The way it folds up is great and it is literally pocket sized. The FPV is nice with a little lag but perfectly acceptable. All in all this is a great little copter for the money.
